Harvest Right Freeze dryer

Hey fam.. It's been years since I've posted a question on here.. but I relied on RIU back in the day so here I am again. I'm new to the icewax game and drying fresh frozen without a freeze dryer is impossible in San Diego county. I got a harvest right freeze dryer to facilitate this process but the problem I'm running into is that there's not a "hash" setting on the machine and I don't know what to set the shelf temp to in order to properly dry the hash. Does anyone have experience with freeze dryers? Do you know what to set the shelf temp to? Or to what fruit hash would dry most similarly to? Please help.

Good to see someone else who’s rockin the FD.
I’m experimenting now with drying nugs with it but from what I have read, it’s best to keep the shelf temps down below 80 to maximize the retention of terps.

I’d think, if you’re trying to dry the flower to make hash, you’d want it bone dry to facilitate the tricomes to snap off. If you’re trying to dry concintrates, I’d think you want it similarly dry or possibly a small amount of moisture. 2-10% maybe.

I’m not too keen on the sciences of flower cultivation, but I’ve been freeze drying food and such for a year now so I am well versed in that.
