No way will "totten for pot in" show up to the event. It's hours away from his home town and he is not a pot user. But I must ask is it probable to have an ATTORNEY general that was not a previous attorney? I'm sure it's slightly possible, like 0.000001% chance but it seems like the person filling this role would somehow be involved in the criminal justice system. Or I guess maybe we could vote for a popular person like kid rock.
Honestly I am not sure of the particular qualifications here in MI, but only the US Solicitor General is required to be an attorney per our Federal Constitution. I believe the reasoning to be that the capture/cronyism of the Justice branch by such an elite group of few would corrupt the check and balance system that we the People rely upon for equality under the law.

I don't think being a true player in that game; prosecutor, plaintiff or defense, is a positive aspect for the populace personally. An outsider is what we may need to look at the books and see the overall harm seizure/forfeiture, incarceration and the Drug War does to our society as it props up our justice system financially. Totten teachs ethics and knows the meaning of integrity ...
So I'd like to think. It is not, however, assured, but I think sends a good message.

An attorney general who is not a real attorney would not work. Like you can't be chief medical doctor if you are not a doctor.

Could a newbie attorney run for AG, likely but their chances of winning the election seem pretty slim.

I got no idea if this Totten dude would be any friendlier to MM but he could not be any less friendly then we have now. If our current AG had it his way, all the dispensary's would have been shutdown by now. That's what he first thought was going to happen last year when the state SC ruling came down but then he found out not all the courts agreed with him. Livonia hell yeah, it be a cold day in hell before you ever see a dispensary open--and stay open--in the city of Livonia but go outside of that city and into Detroit they got them and our AG doesn't seem like he has the power to shut them down cause those local courts are OK with them. Same with all other cities that have dispensary's, they all have cool court judges--least way cooler then Livonia does.

But if our current AG gets the boot, who knows what would happen, could only get better, not worst, IMO

We'll be there in rare form. Sounds like it's goin to be a good time had by all that come. So everybody come on out and support all these fine people that have donated so much of their time, effort and resources to make this possible and it couldn't be for a better cause.
