Looking damn fine sir, got all the kinks worked out from last time I see! some ID cards for the ladies sound like a good idea...also some vertical measurements would be lovely if you get around to it. Having a hard time judging the sizes of them. Keep it up bro!

Gardens looking good brother!

Any chance you can magic marker the pots 'Inda' and 'Hans' so we can tell which is which from the photos?

Mucho Gusto!
You got it.....................Big H is for Hans led.............And the I are for Inda-gro induction..............real simple:)

Ah yes last round with my own experimental cocco mix/lol so stupid............This time I'm in organic soil/perlite, I know this mix quite well brother.......hopefully won't kill half off either:p
I'm using the standard spray bottle for size judgement for now, will try to come up with something better in the future............

PS's anubis (fem) @ 29 days since germ under the inda-gro par 100 full-spec induction(105watts):

010.jpg007.jpg008.jpg009.jpg......hmmmm 5 days behind and actually flowering faster than the cheese!wacky...............really like the squatty pheno/ makes for a great sog kid...........both look healthy to me

001.jpg002.jpg4th day of 13/11 and no issues.............don't worry the gnats will come :P...........be safe and happy growing RIU

Hey P! Thanks for the labels bro.

So to make sure I'm up to speed here; Are both of the plants under the IG the anubis (stable strain let's hope and pray)?

I see what you mean by the small bud formation at day 29 but at the end of the day so based on your past experience or research with this strain is flower formation @ day 29 to be expected?

Since we are running only the single cheesedream cross under the hans panel is that supposed to autoflower at (my experience with lowryder) 5th -6th node spacing? Wouldn't you already expect some signs of flowering @ day 34? Are you seeing any (baffling)?

So while it's been interesting to watch, how can this qualify as a valid side by side "fight" in that we're comparing an autoflower (presumably the cheesedream is an autoflower) to a non-autoflower in the anubis?

As any of these results come into question you have to go back to the beginning where a true side by side would dictate the only variable be the lights.

Hey P! Don't think I'm dissing on your garden, I really respect your work, but might it be time to move one of the annubis under the hans panel? Hell keep the cheesedream if you must (fuck it throw it under the IG if it won't flower and see what happens) but it'll at least tell us something about how the annubis will finish under different lights.

Oh it's a cluster fuck alright........the original plan was to sex and flower all cheesedreams under each side..........but that went to shit........so two anubis where germed and put under each panel to at least have kind of a comp. Then one cheese went male and had an odd plant count, so this is just gonna finish as a regular grow with two different techs........Even with all the same strain it's still wouldn't be valid anyways/ as you see with the totally different pheno's the anubis kids are showing; It has to be clones from the same MOM from the beginning.

The anubis are fem and are showing more pre flowers than the Cheese at five days behind........The cheese doesn't seem to have the autocross, so they will all be flowered under 13/11 till the end......yes the anubis are small for their age/ the experienced grower hasn't got back to me yet....

I have the one cheese under the hans and the two anubis(the strechy one did 22 days veg under the hans)under the inda to even it out a little.....end of the day I want to see what hans will do with a good strain this time and what the induction will do in flower......that's it, not a fight--- but a friendly grow:P

phew====got complicated ha................I'll get the mod to do a thread change soon

Thanks for the thoughtful response. I know the kind of work that goes into putting any grow together but a side by side is a labor of love, when successful, for all to share. I know it's your thread but I still think a lot can be learned here. Perhaps lose 'fight' in the title but who really gives a shit what the thread is called just don't lose it.

I've always viewed this as a comparison of technologies and even than with the wattages and spectrums not being equal and designed from different perspectives any results would have always been open to debate...as if these points aren't argued ad nauseum anyway.

My vote is drop an anubis under han's panel and let's see how the same strain reacts from this point forward. And seriously, at some point you may just say 'ahh fuck it' get to see what the cheese does in just two days under the IG.

At the end of the day it's all about the plants. Let's keep the gnats outside and the photons inside.

much love

Hey man everything looks great! You going to clean out that understory? I figure that the Hans Panel doesn't have much for penetration, considering the panel style. Sweet grow! Sincerely, ILovePlants

Thanks friend.............In the end it is all about the plants; that's correct AND it's also all about me getting the most yield to smoke:P......so I'm keeping it the way it is to do so! most growers know this is not a true comp anyways and their is no reason to crowd that cheese under the hans.......two girls under 105watts of inda and one girl under 65watts of hans seems right too me......looking at all their growth patterns, this current setup is the best way to make the most out of them.......you know that people are gonna take from this what they want no matter how I switch them around.....their both viable low wattage options to grow MJ full term IMO.....

Yeah your kid is impressive ILP..........will lollipop them all and add a soil top dress soon when the temps get chilly for some nice root insulation..........happy growing brother

As the super hot girl friend said to her millionaire Sugar Daddy with a small pecker "Penetration is over rated".

I am seeing this in both my low watt led tent and my HOT5 tent with 4Xs the watts. In the HOT5 tent one of the plants is ~ 8" shorter than the next smallest. Her top is ~ 10" from the bulbs and yet she has the most tric production, not just on top but some 8" below the top

ILP's cheesedream @ 36 days since germ under Hans led (65watts):

002.jpg003.jpg004.jpg005.jpg......all of the bitches have been lollipopped, top-dressed with Roots organic uprising foundation/bloom(1/2 strength) and more soil............the cheese had some more leaf tucking, looks fine..

pyramid seed's anubis @ 31 days since germ under the inda-gro 100(105watts):

009.jpg006.jpg007.jpg008.jpg.....lolli'd/topdressed/blah...........the anubis grower(vg) has taken a look at the pics and agrees that their small== too short of a veg and a container size issue(duh)/ usually should be topped!, are underfed (I disagree), like heavy feedings early....the strechy bitch is typical anubis and the squatty he hasn't seen that "specific" pheno before(he uses clones from a good mom now)....also says it's odd how fast they showed sex/ they might surprise me..........well will see:)

001.jpg010.jpg011.jpg.....6th day of 13/11.......................be safe and happy growing

Yep nice design...........add two more lumiled 660nm deep reds and two cree xp-e ww for perfection:P

ILP's cheesedream @ 38 days since germ under the Hans led panel(65watts):

005.jpg006.jpg007.jpg008.jpg.....taking her sweet time flowering/ I've got patience......the stretch seems manageable ATM======no signs of overfert from the top dress! lol soil is sooooo easy to grow in

PS's anubis kids @ 33 days since germ under the inda-gro par 100 (105watts):

009.jpg010.jpg011.jpg012.jpg013.jpg....quite ahead in flowering vs the cheesedream and five days behind in age; I don't get it........the stretchy bitch is basically touching the bulb with no signs of heat stress, I may add weights to the main stalk(or snap it)

004.jpg002.jpg001.jpg003.jpg..8th day of 13/11.....getting colder/ bundle up girls!!

Hang in there brother P. That cheese is like a finicky hot bitch you met at the bar that may need to be plied with more liquor and compliments. She better give it up this week though or it maybe she's looking over your shoulder at the dyke behind you. Nothing you can do about that one either.

That annubis main stalk looks like it's ready to handle some weight. One can only hope.

peace

Get that induction closer to the plants dude lol.

Why does no one ever just use 2 led panels on each side and an induction in the middle and rotate their plants ? You`d get great results with just a 2700k induction light and 2 led panels or even 2 ufo`s on a smaller set up.

I think you raise a good point as to the potential benefits of a hybrid design. However the 2700K induction would be the wrong direction to attempt that successfully. The existing IG phosphor blend covers 90% of the UV/B and coratenoid regions with a 80% spectral emission in the R/FR regions. The area that could be improved upon would be @ 660nm on the IG phosphor blend. It starts falling off @ 650nm and a peak @ 660 would be an improvement @ flower. But the existing blend flowers quite nicely without the added expense of supplemental lights so there would definitely have to be a cost benefit analysis to support the added investment. If the ROI on the added equipment costs made sense than the ultimate goal of an ssl hybrid would be to incorporate the physical size of the induction housing to allow for enhancement levels of spectrum specific improvements to be brought to the canopy. Could make for another nail in the HID coffin. I'm going to run it by the guys @ IG tomorrow to see what they think.

Until you see little budsets coming in hard on each top, I would bruise the stems and bend over some of those Cheese Dream branches that are blocking out the lower stems. My last supercropping was on the 15th day of 12-12. The male passed down four distinct phases of flowering; stretch for about 15-18 days, slow budset for 25-30 days, first fruiting for 7-10 days, EXPLOSIVO! for 14-20 days (axing depends on taste). I've had pheno's ranging from 56-78 days, depending on lineage, but it's all reasonable.

In about a week she should stop stretching, although it may be a little longer since you're running 13/11. Now is the time to pretend she's still in veg. In the end you want the maximum amount of buds hanging out in the sweet spot you set up. Not trying to nag you, but I figured I would give you some seasoned advice from someone who's been growing this lineage for the last 2 years. Cheese Dreams has bad ass vigor in optimum conditions, their stems are like rebar by the third week into flowering, just like her momma. Look out for the sour gummibear cheese pheno, she's a real treat

Also, I can't +rep you, apparently I need to spread it around some more?

Looking badass,

Hey PSU, since I can't like you in your own thread for some reason, here's a big  for your work so far.

Question; does that induction put out any UVB? I got 2x 48" T8s that I'm thinking of fitting with 2x 36 watt 10.0 UVA/B bulbs and 2x40 watt Vita Light Natural light and adding that to the flowering room. But if inductions do UVB, well that could change my plans drastically. Good luck with the ladies (both types;))!

According to what I am experiencing, some plants do not like much 660

On 1/3 plants under the same light 2 were fine with the amount of 660 I was using, however, the other, the secondary leaves clawed. I removed it 3 weeks ago and all the new secondary leaves since are flat
- normal

Hey Pet!

660nm happens to be a region, that when compared to other spectrums, has the greatest photon:CO2 conversion rate allowing, in this study bean plants http://www.plantphysiol.org/content/46/1/1.full.pdf+html (see fig 7) to consume about 110 molecules of CO2 for every 1000 photons. I've not seen any research on photon:CO2 conversion rates for cannabis but if anyone can point to studies that has been done I would be much obliged. I'm thinking that in your case removing the 660 wavelengths would not have been the likely contributing factor in the plant recovery. I'd be curious if your supplementing CO2 in this garden and what the CO2 levels were at the time you removed the 660 diodes if you happen to know.
