had to throw away brownies

After my recient harvest I used all my popcorn buds from 2 plants. The buds filled 4 brown paper bags and I didnt have a scale to weigh it. Cooked it all in crockpot with one pound of butter then made brownies. I ate 1 small brownie and a couple hours later it hit me so hard it was very uncomfortable. The only way to describe the high was totally and completly fucking retarted. I dumped the whole batch. Has this happened to anyone else?

I wish there were some kind of weed sharing program, I dont know any one that smokes, otherwise I would not have thrown them away. I ate a very small piece. maybe 2''x2''. Gettin high should feel awesome, not like you are being slowly poisioned. Smoking my weed gets me a nice up high that lasts a couple of hours. These brownies brought me down ( long and stupid) for a solid 12 hours.

Yes a common complaint with edibles. Cbd and cbn are significantly more stable than thc.
I don't make edibles but coconut oil pills. If decarbed before hand the baking process destroys much of the product, if not then you don't know how much is decarbed.. making pills or a glycerin tincture is best. The glycerin tincture will most resemble the bud it came from as it bypasses the liver which converts delta 9 to 11 etc (this is not a bad thing though, just saying)
In any case to properly make either you must start with hash, whatever your preferred method, you should decarb this over a double boil allowing you to visually tell when its done decarbing. Decarbing releases little co2 bubbles, when its done bubbling its decarbed.
You then need to slowly saturate hot coconut oil or the vg. Coconut oil is the best to use orally and will also make great edibles too

If I understand you correctly, your method of decarbing is to make edibles less potant?

No that method preserves the ratio of cannabinoids. It will be quite a bit stronger than what you made. More thc etc per ml.

facepalm:

that's like tossing my harvest cause my GG#4 is too strong. smoke less, eat less, get high less.

most of my edibles comes with a warning to ALL my patients. ONLY EAT A HALF OF A MUFFIN or BROWNIE!!!! last batch I was told they were too strong and everyone felt like an ostrich with their heads stuck in the ground. lol they were really strong, and no one listened to my warning.
