H2O level question

Just a quick question, i have 3 seeds in rockwool surrounded by hydroton in 3 5gal DWC buckets. I germinated them in a paper towel and put them in the cubes and hydroton. How far up should my h2o level be since they are only a few dats old. I have the cubes sitting about 1-2'' off the bottom of the net pot with hydroton surrounding cube. Currenty the h2o is just touching the bottom of the net pot.

Just keep the rockwool moist at the moment, you don't need to worry about water levels until you see roots coming through the net pots.
Once the roots come through I keep a few inches between the net pots and the water, the bubbles bursting creates a nice mist to keep everything moist with maximum oxygen to the roots.

Just make sure the rockwool cube stays moist. It sounds like you have a germed seed in a rw cube with no sprout showing but you've placed it in your dwc system? When I germ in r/w cubes, I'll start them off in a shallow tray until they show a good amount of roots than transfer to a net pot.

I germed in a paper towel until the main tap root was poppin out and then transfered to rockwool.

So now let me ask you this.. how high should my 600w be from the seedlings. Currently i have them set 30'' from the seelings(only a few days old) should i raise the light higher, bring it within 24'', or leave how it is? Sorry for all the questions, new to the hydro part. I dont want to stretch the palnts since i am growing in a tent, and temps are not an issue as im sitting around 77-79F
