Pineapple Express #2 and Great White Shark to kick it off

The PE popped but looks odd and the GWS is just breaking it's shell.

Anyone have nay idea why the PE looks so unhealthy? The rockwool was soaked in 5.5 PH water for 15-20 minutes.

I'm not 100% sure why it happens mate but I've had it before and just put it down to a bum seed. The way I see it, they put out thousands of seeds and in the wild, there is always going to be natural selection. In saying this though, I've had mutants turn out to be the best weed I've ever smoked so if she makes it, she could be that 'one' you're looking for

eastcoast hit it right on the nail it happens but I see a lot of that with rockwool tho. I don't pop seeds in cubes straight to soil after cracking from soaking in water. If I'm growing hydro I pop them in perlite. I tried a couple in rapid rooters and they did well but it just seems odd to me lol. Try soaking the cubes in a higher ph 5.5 is a lil low but should be ok but if I was using cubes I would soak them in 6-7ph

Really? So try 6? I'm gonna go check on 'em now 'cause the lights just went on. Temps are around 80s, should I have the dome on them?

Some people use domes I don't. I noticed that when you use a dome and then stop using it the plants suffer a lil from being in suck a humid environment so I never use them. Once the seed sprouts and hit the air and stuff its gets stronger so I don't but you can tho

I agree with that. The only time i use a dome is if i can't check on them for longer then like a day just to keep the rooters from drying out cause i don't like to have water sitting in the tray

Awesome, I'll remove the dome right now.

I think that's why they haven't been drying out either which may cause some rooting problems.

I got two other autos getting ready right now but I'll be touching the Grand Heft Auto soon

Yeah, I don't use a dome any more either, just straight under the lights and it's working so much better. I reckon the dome and the heat mat were my issues with sins gear, since I stopped using them both I've had 100% success rate

Hello brother well i am subbed for sure

I use distilled water and PH it to level 5.5 as rockwool as a high PH and after a couple of hour of soak i find it takes my ph up to around 5.8 or 6 depending on how many i am soaking

I use a sandwich bag over my solo cup if just popping my seeds in coco if i am rockwool under a dome till i see them then i remove it so really i don't think it's needed

But when it comes to cloning i recommend a dome

But what works for me doesn't mean it will work for you that's the joy of growing this first grow is going to be great for learning and every grow you will get better and better

It looks like they could use a watering, what PH do I get the water to? I read something that says 5.0 but that sounds kind of low?

I did a test rockwool cube and just put it in the propogation dome and I gave it a decent squeeze and it took a while before drops of water came out so is this the time to water or when it's dry?

Also I've had one PE and one GWS under paper towel for like a week now. Neither have cracked. The PE is completely black so I think it's dead but the GWS looks fine, it just hasn't cracked. When do I call it quits?

Subbed what lights and notes are you using ?

Dyna Gro line of nutes: Grow, Bloom, Protekt, Magpro, etc.
Vegging under t5 8 bulb in 5x5 grow tent,
Flowering under 1000w HPS in 4x4 tent. If all goes well and I can maintain temps I'll be adding an additional 1000w in my 8x4 tent and going to RDWC.

Going for 4 flowering in the 4x4 and 8 flowering when I get the 8x4 set up.

Should be a good time, just watered the rockwool last night in 5.5 ph water, dipped it in from the bottom. Found a bag seed, soaked it for 24 hours and it cracked. Autoflowers cracked too, should be putting them in soil either today or tomorrow or Tuesday. I think the bag seed is girl scout cookie :

So my autoflowers cracked, girl scout cookie rockwool is soaking overnight as an experiment to see if maybe my rockwool are why my seeds look weird.

I have roots organic potting soil and five gallon smart pots. Can I just plant them in? I think I'm supposed to pour the soil i nthe pots, water slowlyl 2-4 times until it's thorough and then plant the seedlings in. Do I PH the water to 6.0? My water is naturally close to 6.8 with ppms at about 125, do I need an RO system?

Hey brother I like to just go from my rooting seedling if starting with rockwool in to my final pot i find they will grow a little slow at the start as the roots need to build up but once they do you will be in full growth mode plus you don't get any transplant shock i have found every time i have tired going from small pot to medium pot to large just a waste of time I would how even recommend letting your seedling get a good little root system on her before planting but if she starts to stretch for the light to much just lower the light or transplant her in lower to keep that stem safe till she builds up

Also with clean water like that you will be fine with out a RO system some would recommend leaving it out for 24 hours to let the chlorine evaporate just make sure cover the lid with some cloth or something to keep the bugs out of it as your running soil I would recommend 6.5 but if you don't have ph down at the moment you will still be in the safe zone
