Guerilla Grow - Queensland, Australia

Starting my first journal so I'll try to keep it updated and add picture's and such when appropriate.

I am going to start multiple plot's and am preparing for the 2014/15 grow season, I am using random bagseeds and only organic materials.

Currently Plot #1 is ready, the area has been cleared with a fence put up and the native soil has been enhanced with Searles 5-in-1 Soil Improver and Perlite and is currently resting to allow bacteria to do it's thing.

I am germinating 24 seeds with 12 started 5 day's ago and 12 started 2 day's ago all of the first 12 have sprouted and two of the second lot have sprouted already, these little ladies(I hope) are kept in a Mini Greenhouse until they are big enough to be transplanted to a larger pot and begin training in prep for the move to the remote location.

Here is a picture of the first grow location taken facing north and a picture of the young ladies, the first 12 were germinated on the 21st and the second were done on the 24th.

Just a quick update, I've kept the first 12 plants I germinated manually on a paper towel and destroyed all the ones I planted and germinated naturally as they were lagging too far behind in development and only 4 actually germinated. I have transplanted all the remaining plants in plastic cups to allow for more root growth and am just waiting for them to grow to the 5th or 6th node before I begin topping and training them, I am going to try mainlining one or two of the plants as that seems like a very interesting training method.

I have also cleared a second area for about 15 or 20 plants and just have to carry some more 5-in-1 Soil Improver and Perlite out there to boost the natural nutrients, I did some PH testing in a few spots within my planned grow areas while I was out there and the PH was at either a 6 or 6.5 in all locations so that was some amazing luck.

My biggest issue is getting water to the plot until they are big enough to drink from the water table which is only about 3 meters below the surface so I am going to get a cheap hand pump + piping and use that because the terrain is too rough to lug 15 liter water containers around by hand.

Yup North QLD all the way, winter is pretty much over as far as I am concerned and I want these plants to get large enough to blend in with the natural growth, I don't think an extra long veg time will really hurt at all.

I'm near the gold coast and it's still kinda cold to grow especially outdoor plus I find it pretty much impossible to get it to blend with the other growth the green of my plants stands out something crazy so I cant grow all in one place I gotta spread out my plants out

by the way

The weather here is pretty good all year round except for the monsoon season from Nov-March and seeing as the days are now getting longer I don't figure they would flower out of season, the variance in daylight hours is very small here too, shortest day is 10.1 hours and the longest is 13.2 hours.

Went out and transplanted 19 young plants at Plot #1 today, there is still room for another 4 or 5 at most at that location and at Plot #2 I put up part of the fence and added in some 5-in-1 Soil Booster after turning & softening the soil with a mattock; I forgot to bring the Perlite so that will have to be added next time when I return to break up the soil some more and try a small amount of water crystals in the soil to see if it is effective.

Plot #3 has been found and work will begin in the next two weeks or so.

Where I get the water from, this is after about 6 months without a decent amount of rain and there is 1000's of liters there.

Plot #1 with the 19 babies and some weeds(the bad kind) are starting to pop up so I will have to keep them down as best I can.

Plot #2 without the fence after the first turning of the soil, I figure I can fit 3 plants across all the way along if I put them a little tight.

Are you planning to manually carry the water from that source to the plants or are you gonna use some sort of a pump system

Are they all different bag seeds? This is gonna be a cool grow when do they usually flower over their?

Yup about 4 or 5 different types of bagseeds and the equinox is from the 21st of Dec to the 23rd/24th of Dec so I figure sometime around then they will begin to pre-flower unless they have some rouge genes. I manually carry the water in two 15lt containers but at most I only have to carry them about 100m one way but even that is a fair slog up and down two fairly steep gullys.

That is the plan, I figure the better light for each plant will make up for the lower number of females, I also have seeds being delivered so hopefully they get through. I'm getting a few Big Bomb by Bomb Seeds and a few Easy Sativa by Female Seeds and a single Blueberry HeadBand that I am really looking forward to putting in the ground.

I have thought about that but I do not have an indoor area for large sativa plants, which all my seeds most likely are and therefore it would have to be a guerrilla mother plant. I am in the process of making a space bucket and only need to acquire the fans and light sockets to be able to start building it.

Also I checked and watered the plot and only one of the plants appear to be suffering from the transplant so that is an excellent sign, I have 20 more seeds germinating at this time and hopefully they will start to open in the next 24 hours or so.

Getting a nice bushy mother would save a lot of time for you just take clones for as many plants as your wanting
