Today I finished my CO protocol.
I ended up doing more than I planned but it worked out well. My plan was to do 3/4 gram during the day and 3/4 gram at night. Ended up doing 2 grams a day till the last two weeks, 2/3 gram at 7am, 1/3 at 11am and 3pm and then 2/3rds at 7pm.
I bought a 101 and 103 gram jars of FECO, one for me and one for my son's mother who has breast cancer. Turns out her cancer is estrogen driven so she is not taking the oil. So I was here with the extra jar so I upped my dosage to to three grams a day for the last two weeks plus. I will now switch to a maintenance dose of between 0.1 to 0.2 gram daily.
I did a PSA test in late November and although it went up slightly my Percentage Free PSA, with is the key number, rose substantially. I have not seen my urologist yet, appt in a month or so, to see if the tumor masses have shrunk but I no longer have any pain and I am able to ride my bike with no discomfort. Shall see in a few months.
I have been able to do most everything I could prior to starting the protocol only I do it a lot slower. Cooking worried me to begin with but again just slow down and no cuts or burns. Driving, I have to plan my trips to the store and the such, I wait about two hrs after taken my morning caps before I go to the store. It has really not been a issue. I do tend to forget things, so a calendar is very useful with alerts on my phone has kept me on time, for the most part. My GF was worried that me being around people would give me away, I told her that I wake up in the morning to coffee and a big bowl so no one has seen me unstoned for most of my life, I can handle people and issues that may arise. Heck I eat lunch weekly with my son at a BBQ place that is frequented by the police and sheriffs and we engage in conversations with them all the time and all is cool.
Anyway, glad to be done, and will be able to make the next batch of CO myself with what I have left from my last two grows and this current grow.

GR
wishing you the best my friend

I would say there is no correct answer on splitting up the harvest. If you see some tops (tips) getting as ripe as you'd like them to get, pluck them and let the rest keep going. Don't see where it would hurt anything.
Occasionally I will do that if I have some dank ass cola's that I feel are skating the edge of being mold prone but prefer to the down the whole thing at once and hang :hump:

Sort of like the defo question, there are many opinions and in some forums you will get the hell beat out of you if you talk about defo, LOL
I have scoped them with my 60/100 loupe and they are close. I too prefer to chop all at once, normally I will remove fans then do final trim one branch at a time and hang them individually. Have not hung whole plant in years, if it weren't such a bitch to do a final trim on the whole plant I would still be doing so.
Well Monday will be the 60th day of flower, and I think I will start taking them down then.

I have extra scissors if anyone is not busy Monday! bongsmilie

Getting ready to put these ladies in the tent next week. Will probably give them a week or so prior to flipping, they are close but I think another few days will do then well plus allow them to continue building their roots system.20180119_165056.jpg 20180119_165132.jpg

The center plant is one going to my buddy, we are getting him set up next week to start flowering two of the clones I gave him, he has been vegging under my SS400 LED. We are setting him up with a horizontal 315 to do this run, but he has another 315 for the fall vertical run.
I plan on this run horizontal as I don't have the time needed to veg out for a vert run. So it is going to be low and flat, not a scrog, never done one, yet. :)

Hey GR, those look nice and ready. You wil enjoy this one, I am thinking.

I am running one now. It makes some of the densest nugs I have grown...fouls the grinder. lol

I think that the split harvest is likely deprecated more because it it preferable to start new plants
for another full grow than to re-grow out the lowers on the previous grow. But that is an issue for
Production Growers which I have never been.....so, it is hard to say. Good luck!

Thanks Buddy, do appreciate it.

Well today I got three of the five harvested, and like I thought light on the weight.
#1 & 4 are the two remaining, and four looks heavy, one is average. We shall see.
Yes I need to get the others in the tent.
I am hoping this is some dank shit, I really need to make some good oil. I agree, we are no where near the Production Growers stage. I only hope to get enough for my meds each grow.

Bowl Break!!!!

Like my friend Sedan in the Ukraine I too have a work in progress. Yesterdays was an 9 hr trim, and it was only basic as when dried they will get trimmed again. Now the trim is not like you would buy in Colorado, but this is only my shit so I am not out to impress anyone but me, LOL.
Today is day two of harvest, two plants to go, as stated they are #1 & 4. This AM I started on #1, at 5:30 and have about half the plant done.

Working from top to bottom, this is the middle of the plant.

Day 62 and I am done!

Looking like I will get about half to 3/4 of last grows weight, They are just not heavy wet like the last ones. Numbers 1 & 2 were fairly heavy, number 3 was extremely light and fluffy.
Her are a few pics of the harvest.

Just a couple of the ladies prior to trim, this was the highest yielder wet weight wise and the nicest buds

#4, very nice looking plant, but the buds were very tight, yet just doesn't seem to have any weight.

Sorry I did not take that many pics during harvest as I normally would but not only was I just coming down with a cold, I also had back spasms so fucking bad I almost shut it down multiple times, but I am out of oil. I was hoping to use some of this harvest to add THC to the remains of the last two grows. I will be making a small batch of oil tomorrow, from some of the remains of the last two grows. That should do until this grow is cured and can be added to the remainder of the last growse some of this harvest to add THC to the remains of the last two grows.

Well being as how it has been two weeks since I ran out of oil, on my 1/20 low dosage maintenance dose, tonight I took 3/4 gram of oil orally.

I am extremely high at present!!! ;)

Oh yeah, just put the clones in the tent today, from the T5's to the 315's. Pics when I am sober!

Thanks for following along with this, it has been fun.

Nice clean finish my friend, it's not all about weight and any grow harvested is a success :hump:

Here the clones are in the tent, 4 of LSD #1 and 1 LSD #3. There is a mystery LSD in there also. It is not in the pic, it was one my buddy that I gave some clones too that he could not get started. It has not been topped, thinking of running it in soil to build a mother.

This site is for sure the cutting edge on Vertical Scrogs using LEDs. I believe there is enormous opportunity particularly in flat panel LED Vertical Scrogs.

There is not a whole lot of information out there. I have been following several people that have advanced this method and they are linked below along with recent threads they are active in. Please add any other cutting edge growers and let's keep moving the ball down the field.

So apparently I don't have enough prereq's to post links, If I could get 2 likes to my posts (a bit anemic to be sure) then I could post these 9 members doing excellent work.

I think it is a great idea, but start a new thread for it, it will get lost here as I am finishing the journal very soon.

Folks, I need to make a correction, I added one plant twice, so the adjusted total is below. :wall:
I just love sampling new grows, :hump:

Total for the 5 plants, just under 17.5 zips smokable and 3+ zips of larf and untrimmed buds. Not as much larf as I first thought.
Well this grow did not produce like the last grow but the quality is better, bud structure was not as nice as some of my previous grow.

Onward and upward through the fog!
Thanks for all the positive comments and suggestions, you folks are cool.
CYA, next grow.

Barneys Farm LSD is an Indica dom plant that of the 5 phenos only two came close to filling the screen, 7 to 8 week veg. The other three, two of which were topped once as were the two tall pheno's, the third was super cropped at mid plant the last two weeks of veg.
Thinking of things I could do better with this strain as I may want to grow it again. I do have one clone of plant #1 which turned out to be the heaviest of the 5 @ 4.5 zips, so depending on how the quality of that plant turn, we shall see.

Last grow did 6 plus zips per plant for 4 plants. Different strains, different grows. That is a no shit statement, LOL.

5 Barneys Farm LSD seeds, 5 plants, each a bit different. Harvested 1/22 & 1/23, put in jars to cure on the following Thursday and Friday.
On Monday 1/29 after a week of dry/cure I began the testing, Starting with #1 on Monday and finished with #5 on Friday, one nice bud per day. Never finish a full bud any of the days but did my best, :)
Each plant is very good high wise, the next 5 days will be tested for flavor and to determine which plant provides the best stone. I will take two nice bowls and go for a bike ride, that really clears my mind and I can assess each plant.
After a week plus of breathing the jars I examined them under my 60x100 handheld scope and overall I would say they are 60 to 70% cloudy the rest are sparkling clear, very distinctive look.
20180131_130048.jpg
There are very few Amber trichs and there are just a few that have black spots in the trichs, have not seen that before.
Each is a very pleasant high, one hit and you feel it almost immediately, 2nd hit, after just a short period you say to yourself Oh yeah, I am stoned, 3rd hit does not really take you higher but you are feeling light headed, hell your whole body feels light. The stone last a good long time but smoking more will just make you sleepy. With every plant tested this week, I napped after a few hours after taking the first hit.
The fragrance is still developing but there is a difference, be it ever so minute , most are sweet but distinct. The flavor again is developing, so this week I should be more able to distinguish. I do like this strain, was not a big producer for me but the quality makes up for that.

I have clones of #'s 1, 3 and 5. Four plants of #1 and one of number 3 are in the tent now, 4 days into 12/12. I have a clone of #5 that I took about 4 weeks in flower, took three, one has made it and it has begun it's mutant leaf stage, not big enough to start monster cropping yet but am reading up on the process now. Could use some info from you all who have used this technique and have something to offer, help is always appreciated.

Guess I will be closing this journal now, probably start a new one on this batch of clones in the tent.

Time for the two bowls, get on my cool weather bicycle gear and start this next weeks test.
Later,
GR
