Growmau5 far red puck(s) in 4x4

So I've been contemplating adding far red to my 4'x4' grow area. The Growmau5 far red puck seems like it is a great way to go

The problem is these are rated for a 3x3 area and since I have a 4x4, do I use 2, which would result in uneven coverage, or 4 with each covering 2x2? Or would 1 centered in the middle be enough?

coverage is not really an issue, you are merely signaling the plants

id bet one would work fine in a 3x3

youre obviously gonna need to sawzall some pucks in half

Go with 1 and post your results after the grow. If inner buds look better than the outer ones then more will be needed.

BGT, what did you decide? you try the puck out?

I have 2 pucks and power supplies in my cart right now but haven't pulled the trigger. I actually just moved everything into a 5x5 tent. So should I go with 2, 3, or 4?? Lol. There is a 2 event timer on amazon for like $13 that would be perfect to run main lights and the far red on the same clock.

i've read, on this site, that one puck will cover 4x4 tent. don't need much wattage at all.
