Growing Weed with Mama

It's a good thing I chopped all the easy to reach tops off the Golden Gun. We had someone hop the fence during the rainy night the other day. Im sure they assumed we would be inside and the dogs wouldn't hear them over the rain hitting the greenhouse plastic. Only problem was they sabotaged themselves! I can tell they were chopping what they could easily reach and realized it was all small buds, so they tried to stretch out and reach the big buds at the middle of the plant while standing on a retaining wall. The top blocks from the wall came loose and they came crashing down onto the scrog screen and ended up under the plant. They dropped a lot of what they had cut, and then the dogs were on their ass. They hoped back over the fence in a flash and disappeared before we could get to them.

But like any idiot ripper, they came back again last night just before sunrise at like 5 am. Before they even made it over the fence the dogs were barking and they took off, only this time my husband caught up to them with a baseball bat. This is our second set of rippers we caught up to. Don't take us for granted.

We let them off with a warning the first time because we know their families, but from what I hear there is a whole group of them trying to rip everyone in town. They have already tried to come back but haven't gotten anything. They stashed another lawn chair outside the fence in prep to try again. But we will be ready for them. This season has made us work for it every step of the way.

On a sad note, a friend of a friend was mrudered over their crop, and my cousins dog was killed protecting theirs. Shit has gotten serious.

If this continues I will work on pressing charges. That will be a good thing to remember.

We already let their folks know their kids may end up as fertilizer if they keep coming onto my property. They said "Really you would do that over a plant that doesn't matter?" We asked them if they would let us take 10 months of their pay checks that they worked hard for and say it doesn't matter. If they would let us break in their house and take whatever we wanted. They got the point, sort of, but fucking bad parents always want to defend their kids mistakes.

Glad I live in the hills, away from pesky kids/idiots. Good luck with the harvest Mama, hope they stay away and you crop-out nicely. Do you have security cameras? Are you camping with the plants? My son is a senior in high school and his buddies know of my grow. I'm not concerned with them, but I'm concerned with the people they may tell. My garden is tough to get to though. I live way off the beaten path, on a fenced in 10 acres parcel. Plus the garden is fenced too. Between dogs, security cameras, driveway alarms, fenced in acreage, I feel pretty secure here, but you never know what people are thinking.

STEALING is STEALING ... robbing tomatos or oranges or anyfood stuff is WRONG ... why cant those kids grow their own weed in the parents yards if it is so "ok" to steal it .... the answer is a live electric fence net man those foxes howl when they eat the bacon on the wire ....

this is my worry as well ... this time of year is strange for a cannabis farmer ... hope you all do well this season.
