Mon had a nice plant wilt away, a few years back. Couldn't figure it out for thr the life of Mon. Tried everything to save it, but figured it after it died, it ended up being termites!!

Mon had used wooden stakes to stake up plans, one of the stakes, unknown to mon had termites and spread to the plant..

Hey Mama how's your Holy Grail doing? You are growing one right? Mine stink real good very skunk dark green. That first leaf in the photo about the double ridges was from the grail. I'm rather shocked of how big they are.

Ive seen that happen too. I forgot all about it until you mentioned it.

I think borers or termites are very likely. It seems like if it was moles the entire plant would be dying. But termites and borers could both just effect one branch.

So here it is, some kind of infection in the main part of the stock. Caused by what still not sure. I think it will make it now. It's got a band aid over its opened wound. let's hope it doesn't spread, we will see. The bad parts you see in the part that's in the ground where carved out as well.

So it was the stalk... That sucks to be right in this situation. At least you figured it out. Try not to over water if that's the situation.

I know for canker in my avocado tree they prescribe using phosphoric acid in the soil. It helps the roots fend off the culprits. My Avo tree is looking much happier since I started using phos acid in my water.
i might be temped to try the oppisite approch and water one time with the phos . then innnoculate with mycos that are proven to work on avo trees . ...

Well the whole thing was a learning experience for me. I appreciate everyone's input. MjMama you were right good call. It's what we thought to but just couldn't see it.

This looks N deficient but it's happening to the tops of the plant, so I'm not sure and I haven't had time to test the soil. I gave it 4 gallons of liquid fish 5-1-1 anyone? Now I think of it we have had some pretty serious rain up here and that's the lowest plant in the grow and all the water runs down to it. It could be drowning, it's the only one of the bunch suffering.

Asprin of all things works really well too. A single tablet dissolved per gallon of water. Ive used it a few years ago when I had weird symptoms that I couldn't explain and thought might be hemp mosaic virus. Twisted growth and random tears in the leaves. The Asprin really helped them snap out of it. It helps boost the plants natural immunities.

The tops of the plants are hard to get to these days. The Alien in the middle is 8 ft tall, and the Original Sour Diesel in back is 9 ft. They totally hide the 8 ft fence behind them. image.jpg

GoldenGun with everything below the 4foot line trimmed off.

A couple 5 gallon buckets stacked to show how tall she has grown above the screen. I need another bucket....

Thank you! It's a trick to get the lighting right for pics. In the morning the plot gets patchy light and doesn't work well for pics. In mid afternoon it's blinding and the tops of the plants look washed out. Then in the evening everything gets a dirty hue. Im in the Sierras and it really does make pics look like the Sierra filter setting on instagram.

How close are your drip lines to the trunk?Maybe try and move it a few inches away. Too much water near the trunk can cause mold issues.
