Growing overseas

Whats up everyone...

I have been growing for almost a year now indoors in North Eastern USA. Several days ago I had to leave my beautiful grow in USA and fly to Israel and am going to be here for a few months. My little sister recently was diagnosed with leukemia and is undergoing chemo here in Israel (which is why I came out here). I have 2 sour diesel lowryder seeds from a batch that I grew previously. So i want to grow these two plants and make some killer brownies for my baby sis, to help get rid of the nausea. I have a penthouse out here so I have a perfect balcony to grow on. Unfortunately, I have no equipment necessary (nutes, soil, pH up/down, etc.) There are several pots on the balcony that used to have plants in them so I figured the soil is rich with some type of nutrient. Also I read recently in a high times article that Israel has water with a ph of 8.0 and ppm of like 600. I;ve read you can use baking soda/vinegar to lower and raise the pH???? So my main question is.... can I use sugar or honey or some type of substitute (molasses maybe?) along with water as my nutrients? Thanks for the advice guys. Take it easy

Go to your local aquarium shop, fish lovers always know how to cure the local water and condition it properly for fish tank use, can't go wrong, plus they'll know the exact properties of the water and it won't seem suspicious, I'm sure there are plenty of aquarium stores in Tel Aviv or all over Isreal...
