Growing Mothers... How Long?

Im planning on ordering femenized seeds tomarow and i want to grow them to be mothers... I was wondering how long it would take to grow (from seed) a mother so that i could take 3-4 clones off of? most likely the mothers will be in a flood and drain table or some sort or hydro system... How long until the y are big and healthy enough to take 3-4 cutting from them? Also should i top the mothers to produce more laterals?

It depends on the strain. Usually to get a healthy mother to take cuttings off of take 2 to 3 months maybe a little longer
