Hey guys, first time grower. I just went to my local hydro store and picked up two 2gal smart pots. I know when it comes to pot size the bigger the better. I was wondering if I could grow in a 2gal smart up up until harvest?? I was going to transplant the seedling from a 16 oz cup into the 2gal pot. Btw i am growing an indica, Purple Kush.

You can grow in a 2 gallon but why so small? Are you doing an auto or photo plant? Soil? Full season or light dep? We need more info! :D

You can, but your yield won't be huge, however with some knowledge, you CAN pull a decent crop from them. I would advise to veg them for no more than 5 wks and then go 12/12 without looking back. Those 2-gal pots will provide "just" enough root space to grow yourself a nice personal crop. Just don't veg too long, you need lots of root-space to produce those buds :joint:

Yeah it's small, but I have limited space. Im growing in fox farm ocean forest, the seeds are just two feminized purple kush and full season

Now that I am looking at it, I probably could fit a 5gal pot, would that be a lot better??

I've grown in a 5gal. Smartpot outdoors. I didn't start til the beginning of June, topped it twice and harvested 14oz. from a landrace Indica. Plant was about 6' tall.

Probably gonna get rootbound in that so it'll wilt during the hot part of the day especially if you aren't on top of the watering (which could be everyday at some point), you could mound up some straw to help keep root temps down.
