Grower Software

Hello Forum!

I came here to ask for feedback on a grower software I am working on. I originally designed it for myself, but figured why not share it ...

Any feedback, bug reports, or feature suggestions would be greatly appreciated, but please remember that it's an early beta and be gentle. :-)

Some things are still in the queue and not done yet, but I feel its very much usable and ready for a public test. What's planned for the near future:
  • Seedfinder API integration
  • More reminders/hints for the individual plant stages, possibly problem solvers.
  • Bulb age tracking
  • SSL (not really necessary for the concept, but it puts peoples minds at ease)
  • Integrate a perpetual grow calculator of mine (http://www.augemedia.de/cannabis-perpetual/)
  • Internationalization
  • Mobile Layout and Tests
  • PDF/HTML Export
  • Dates for images or image upload for events
The current development version is here: http://www.cannacalc.com ...

It seems I can't edit my posts, so I'll update it this way.

- SSL is in.
- Images now have a date and description attached
- A bug with new gardens, which conveniently popped up after I posted this, has been fixed.

Image uploads are currently limited to roughly 200kb, but the hoster is working on it.

Doesn't look like there is any interest, so this'll be the last update here.

  • Overview page is now actually useful showing the most important data and events in either block or list format, and allowing people to quickly log new events. There is also a "hint" system with useful information depending on the plants phase (not too many hints in there yet).
  • Images now have proper dates and descriptions attached and no more size limit, though loading times are slow due to the encryption.
  • Couple of "quick links" were added across the different modules.
  • The app will automatically go into offline mode when there's no internet connection and save all data once it becomes available again, so you can work in remote locations with a notebook/tablet.
  • Layout adjusts to smaller screen sizes, though still not very useful for cellphones.
Currently still planned is a seed stash, but there will be other features over time.
