Hey, I have a setup with 400w from iPower on ebay I'm a 24"×48"×72" and my light is much bigger than I expected, measuring 23" wide. I just put it up today, so not sure about heat factor yet.View attachment 3549465
Both you guys just need a simple ventilation system. Its winter, take advantage. Either vent out a window and pull from your room or vice versa, whatever suites your environment better.

it was a joke. your nuts don't try to hide when it's 20 below? mine don't usually drop until spring and our temps are mild compared to AK.
Lol i know a joke when i see one. It was summer time when i had cracked my window to bring in cold air, even though it was 46 degrees out that day which is pretty hot. Learned my lesson and found a better way with the thermostat trick

How long do you keep your window open for? If i did that my plants would have hermied out the first few hours, i live in barrow ak, we're in the negative 20s already lol
It varies. The varies by temp. I watched the temps and eventually got a feel for it.

You could get one of those remote thermometer and hang it in the tent and play around with the gap of the window.

The main thing is you got room in the tent. Running a fan or two might distribute the heat enough it won't be a problem.

Pictured here are 6 auto flowering, this is an old photo(two weeks ago), buds are done forming ad time for them to start fattening up. I am able to fit my 4" inline fan from Ventech, it is the most quiet inline fan on the market, even quieter with my dict muffler attached to it, barely noticeable, and does push alot of air, i recommend it to you 100%. Amazon has this too for 150
Ventec is not the quietest fan on the market.

That being said, the offer a 5 year warranty and mine has been running non stop for close to a year. Its a tank but not the quietest.

Also their filters are crap. I replaced mine with a "phresh" and it is a million times better.

Yeah. I did have a fan in my 3x3 tent, but i sold it along with the fan, i no longer need it in my 2x4 cause my exhaust fan pulls air in from the bottom and brings it diagonally across the tent. Its just a better way with opening your flaps at the bottom and adjusting your thermostat down to about 72 and bring in that cool air from the floor, i have no longer heat issues and led even runs me cooler so im golden so far

Get the same model i have, it works fucking awesome lol. I recommend it 100% from amazon. Dont get the dimmable one, that one has issues on not dimming down
Which LED light are you running? I need to order one tonight either from amazon or ebay, probably amazon for the faster shipping

This cost 135 dollars, brand new. Dollar per watt. I highly recommend it. Great yields, hard to burn your plants from it unlike other leds. On their site is shows that these were made for cannabis grows, i back that up as my plants are thriving towards it all day everyday, it's very very quiet. It uses 135w total, which is impressive for giving you big yields. Shipping was fast for me, 4 days and i live in barrow alaska

It looks like I can get that unit for $95 on amazon shipped. But with my budget I could afford a 400w, 600w, or even 800w LED full spectrum. Are those too powerful, or would they be better than 300w/135w?

Those would be perfect. Look into the black dog led for a better led at those wattages, or marshydro.

i'm doing a 400 hps and a 400 cmh under a big non cooled reflector. i've got a 6" fan sucking out of the room though. its a 3x4 room, not a tent. and i have a fan blowing up on the lights which helps a great deal. somehting like this, you can point it straight up too:
I plan on getting a good exaust fan and keeping Temps down in the room, you think running the exaust under the room would be fine

I do have a "Phresh" filter, I only bought the fan and fan speed controller together, hydro stores did a comparison on youtube with the ventech, vortex and hyper fan, pretty damn quiet. Mine's been running 24/7 365 days a year for a year and three months, still runs like new, im still on my first phresh filter, i guess you misunderstood my comment.

it's really hard to say. one exhaust at the top of the tent might be enough. i like using one of those fans i posted a pic of to blow on the bulb/reflector itself to keep the area between the plant tops and the bulb as cool as possible. good air movement helps with temps obviously but willl also strenghten the stems and help the buds to not get mold.
