grow journal/comparison

ok this is my first time posting on a forum such as this although ive been reading them for years. To start off with ill describe my setup and what im growing.

My room is 8x8x8 with painted white walls and white tile floor. I use a 1000 watt switchable balast set up on timers. My room has constant ventilation via central heating and air which i also use to control the temps. I use humidifiers early in the grow and dehumidifiers later in the grow to accurately control humidity. My soil is 25% high grade nursery potting soil (best I could find), 25% coco fiber which i prewashed to remove salt, 20% perilite, 20% earthworm castings, and 10% mexican bat guano the kind with high nitrogen. I of course mix my own soil. Oh I also use two 250 watt hps lights for side growth. The current nuts I'm using are fox farm the grow big, tiger bloom, and liquid plant food.

This being only my third grow I feel this is a pretty decent set up, or lol I hope it is anyways. My first two grows were completed but more of a learning experience which although completed had a few problems associated witha newb. The first two grows were white widowxblueberry and white rhino.

My current grow is ch9 seeds greenbudx4, and xxl 6 along with trainwreck from gh seeds all feminised.

I started this journal a little late as I just entered my second week of flowering about 10 days in now which all my girls have shown sex and have been stretching like mad. I turned them when they were about 20 inches, currently the ch9 seeds both kinds being more indica influenced are about 30 inches and the trainwreck being sativa dominate are about 40. Oh I never mentioned im using 5 gallon nursery pots which seem to be holding up great and allowing good root growth.

Well thats my setup I did have a question if anybody happens to respond to this..with my abundant light my last plants got tall durning stretch but never stretched if that makes since. Even with my big light my trainwrecks have mad space between there nodes and a fairly small amount of leaves in my small amound of exp. Is this normal? Also they are flowering much slower than the rest is the due to the sativa influence or just a trainwreck trait....Any and all info would help! Thanks so much and hopefully i get a responce on this. Also please forgive spelling not my strong suit and pics will be coming in about a week my fiancee is out of town with the digi camera.

maybe its time to adjust your nutes and stop giving her much nitrogen. they usually vary on stretch depending on genes. its normal for them to stretch out for the first 2 weeks of flowering but they should actually be growing not just stretching. if they are sativa dominant i suggest you cut down most of the nitrogen, generally sativas prefer less nutes. anyway hope this helps you should really put pics up, nobody reads threads with just words.

Thanks for the reply, and I was wondering what you just told me I had previously heard about sativa's not like as many nutes. I have already quite supplying the grow big maybe I didnt put that down correctly and yes I will be posting pics within the week as I previously stated my digi camera is currently out of town with my faincee. Also they are growing as well as stretching probably more so growing. The only thing that bothered me about the trainwrecks were the fact that the nodes got so spread out not a problem I have ever had....Anybody else got the girls going who has had this problem or simply has more exp. than me with trainwreck can gladly tell me if this is normal or something this strain likes in praticular.
