Ground Air Benefit?

I've heard of someone drilling holes in the foundation of a basement grow claiming benefits of ground air. Any legitimacy to this?

Is false, basement growers will often dig a hole for excess water to drain off, I did know of a guy who dug a well, got caught and is still serving time ...lol

Jesus lol. This source speaks about a friend who grows for a center. He claims he has holes around every pot, not for drainage, but these supposed 'ground air' benefits. The same dude also claims to play a certain sound frequency in the room that boosts trich development..... they're completely oblivious to my grow so its not to steer me in obscure directions.

yah do not do that if u do u are looking at getting that famous basement weed taste from pockets of mold forming in the holes when they get water in them

the only thing u need to worry about with air
1 are u moving in enough fresh air per min ...........i like over kill my air replaces once every 45 secs
2 are u planning to add in extra Co2 for the plants
3 the heat plants like a cool breeze just like u do under a hot day in the sun
4 the air u are dumping out of the room is really removed so it is all fresh unused air/Co2 for the plants

ok now if your basement has that smell like some basements do.............the best way to clear this is Ozone it attaches to that smell and settles it so the weed does not get that taste in it but u have to becareful not to over suppy the Ozone it is bad like to much Co2

Thanks for the info. I have no "basement smell" and id like to keep it that way :) .....

Like you, I also have an overkill of intake/exhause, air replacing about 45seconds to a minute. Additionally, I have 2 wall mounted oscillating fans but find one to be more than sufficient. Do you supplement extra Co2?

The frequency thing is supposed to be true. We had something for it in our grow room. :)

depends on if it's for just water drainage or not, there is a reason all plant containers have drainage holes, but i'm not sure what you mean? It's always a good idea to have superfluous drainage. Roots need air.

yes i do supply extra Co2

i ran some test using brew buckets for moonshine ............dumping the Co2 it made into the intake of the tent ..........the results i can see it is worth it ...........i am in the middle of redoing my whole system and i plan to add a C02 tank to the intake for the flowering tent .......the grow tent i will just use the C02 from the brew buckets

just a quick crash course for u on Co2

1 the gas is heavier then air so it settles in the bottom and fills up
2 1500 ppms of Co2 in the air can be deadly to ppl u feel light headed while work leave and go outside for fresh air and allow the room to exhange air with the Co2 tank off
3 if u get a controller for it u hang it at the vent point lvl .....or half way between the vent point lvl and the tops of the flowers
4 Co2 is only needed for the times u are running the light ...........during the night time they like Oxygen more then Co2 so shut it off

oh and yes sound does work to help the plants some ...........this has been proven several times over .........but the cost of the gear tuning it and thenthe power to run it u can not justify it unless u are running a shop suppling yuppies that pay that extra bit for something grown with speical attention

u can get the same results from a radio and light smooth jazz playing as u do with speakers pumping out subsonic vibations tryting to mimic the earth natural tone ................your missing part of the varibles and unless u apply them it not worth the trouble (the electical feild that is natural in the earth's soil .....each area is little different )
