In this months High Times, Jorge answers a mail bag question about where to buy Griffins Spinout.

And in the answer he talks about numerous studies have shown that plants grown in containers treated with spinout have 50%-150% increase in flowering.

Anyone got any info or links for these studies? Anyone have personal experience with it themselves???

Thanks!!!

A spray to stop root-binding. It essentially prunes the roots when they come into contact and forces the plant to put out massive secondary roots. I would prefer to use SmartPots instead of toxic chemicals, but that's just me being quality conscious.

if jorge says it, it must be true!! fuck jorge he is a sellout

I have not tried pots like that for growing pot yet, but I will. But I can say that at our nursery we have used Spinout pots, not heavily because of cost, but they do work and they do work very well, there is a very easily discernable difference between trees and bushes grown in them compared to regular pots.

I see no reason why such types of pots would not work equally as well for pot plants.

naw im not saying that it wouldnt help, or increase yield a tad because the science seems to back it up.. but what i was saying is that jorge would shit in a bottle and call it a wonder nute if he had something to gain from it you know? i mean come on 50- 150 percent increase in flowering? gimmie a break.. pumping in co2 in optimal conditions wont even give you a 50 percent increase, much less a pot

Extreme Crazy Killer improvments to my root using SpinOut and now the newest product MicroKote which is easy to get from http://horticulturespecialties.com/product_info.php?products_id=159, Found SpinOut hard to get in smaller jugs.. I start working on root building from the start and the end result is like putting a Rocket of Good in the pot. You get 1000x more root tips!! DUhhhh... This means something.. Be Cool

I just got some Microkote this week, hope to have it delivered soon. I will be doing an experiment with Microkote, Smart pot, texel bags and rootmaker to see what product works best. More info to come.

Lots of info regarding this topic on Uncle Ben's thread Spin out chemical root pruning.
