I should mention that all during veg and its first week of flower there isn't any smell to these. I stick my nose right up to them expecting to at least smell a green plant smell and nothing. I had to rub the stems between my fingers to get any smell at all.

What smell did you get off it? Is it like a piney earthy smell?

Hey Dr. I was wondering if you could explain to me the drain to waste method you use.
The basics....

Soilless media ( I use Promix)

Feed with every watering (I go between 400 and 800ppm and PH at 5.7 ) getting plenty of run off. (*Thats very important)

Check run off for PH and PPM levels. You want to see the PH at 5.7 from the run off. Lets say it comes out at 6.3 ----the next time you feed you would PH it to 5.1. In other words, how ever many points above 5.7 is the amount you go below 5.7. So, 6.3 is 6points above 5.7 so i go 6 points below 5.7...get it?

If you see problems go with straight water or flush.

After you put it in flower keep using Veg nutes for a couple weeks and then flush the crap out of them and start with the bloom nutes. You may find that they do better with the Veg nutes all the way through but that depends on what brand you are using and the NPK ratios.

Thats about it......

28 days of 12/12......

I just gave it a real good sniff test and its still hard to smell. About 12 inches away you start to smell a bitter green plant smell. I can't nail down what it is but I have smelled this before. Maybe it was a house plant or a weed growing outside but to be honest i can't remember for sure. One thing is clear....it sure don't smell like marijuana. And, to be as clear as possible, to my nose, it's not a pleasant smell.
So then I stuck my nose right in a bud and it smells different. At that range, you can get a slight whiff of MJ odor but not much and the other green smell is not as unpleasant.

As far as plant growth, this looks like its going to be a huge yielder once again. It's about 6.5 feet tall and starting to pack on bud weight everyday. It's also starting to get some nice frost going.
Take a look...

Looking great as always Doc. Amazing that there is no smell so looks like Dr G accomplished what he was trying to do. I can see a lot of people who want to conceal they're smoking liking this plant and then there's people like me who wouldn't even take a chance if I didn't smell it lol. Very interesting plant. Def wanna see your finished product and test results.

Whats really interesting is the bitter smell i described was gone the next day. To smell it now you have to stick your nose right in a bud and even then there isn't much to notice.

Wow! Still about 2 weeks from finish... this one's gonna be a monster plant!! Looks a bit stetchy though, the lenght between internodes.. but how about a good looking and great yielding strain! Looks like the top branches will need to be tied down/trained to ensure they won't snap before harvest under the weight of the XL colas. Great job, be sure I'll be looking out till the end of your report!

I wont start harvest until day 65 and beyond so its got at least 3 weeks before i start. Im thinking it will be packing on a lot of weight in that time.

Dr Sharpe stopped over last night and put his nose to the plant.

I got a photo of him to help show the size of the plant. He is exactly 6 feet tall.
Dr Sharpe identified it as being the exact smell you get when carving a pumpkin. The fresh scent of the pumpkin skin and pulp is how he described it. It's been a while since I carved a pumpkin but I knew what he meant when he said it.
Previously, i had described a "bitter plant" smell and thats what he said was the pumpkin smell.

It doesn't smell anything like any pot I can identify so for a person in need of stealth, this looks like a good way to go.
So far so good, lets see/smell how it turns out.
