mine dont smell bad they are both at week9 got 1-2 more weeks for both but chopping one this friday. if you lean in and smell them mine kind of smell skunky, but i dont have a carbon filter at all and i havent noticed a single smell since i started. hope that helps

oh hey spruce could i see a picture of your whole plant before harvest? because i really would like to see how your yield was compared to the size so i can compare mine, im getting impatient and jittery lol its been so long and a nice yield estimate would ease my mind for about another week

Wow, the finished harvest looks great. I have one mama plant that I started flowering a week ago. It is showing hairs everywhere and is growing taller at least an inch a day. I started 12/12 at 18" (whoops!) and think that at this rate, she'll outgrow my space. She's already at 26"! What was the final height of yours? I haven't topped her yet (first grow). Thanks for the report! Encouraging results.

Hey Im currently germinating The Church, for what Im hoping will be my first sucessful grow. Im growing under cfls and wondering if anyones has used LST with it, and if the did, what size planter did they end with? The reason I ask is because she looks like such a bushy plant during the last weeks of flowering, will she just choke herself out? Just curious as ive read that LST is the best way to go under cfls. Great smoke report though, exactly what I was hoping to find Cant wait for her to start growing! (please forgive my noobness, I am a noob, as we all were at one point )

i grew the church once before, and i will have to agree it's a very slow vegging plant with medium yields. very nice smoke though, more of a stony buzz. my church looked identical to yours; did you have fun trimming all the small leaves? my freebie pheno was very leafy. this strain is also very nice for making hash with.

hi guys, I've got a question, A buddy gave me a Church plant, and I've been looking through pics, and it looks abit different than the one's I've been seeing, it has fat roundish looking leaves, with pointy ends looking like a spade (&#9824;), but most of the pics you guys have show long narrow leaves like my SLH... any ideas... ? I asked another buddy and he said mine were exactly like the one's he's seen, but I'm just wondering if it's a different pheno?

Ps, It's also growing slow as heck... it's been recovering from my buddys bunk setup... It was almost yellow from Nute def... It's almost green now in 1 1/2 weeks, but no growth to speak of... I did pull the top off for a clone... I'll be Topping it a bit to make it really bushy before flowering... even if it takes forever to get there... but with the slow growth, it may not be worth the effort to top...

Hi Guys, Been a few days... My plant is looking like a totally different plant than the one my buddy originally gave me... The Leaves were all fat, short, small and stubby. Also when he gave me it, It was very light green infested with mites... I took preventitive measures when I got it and Washed it off before putting it in my indoor garden... It's finally looking like it's recovering from the mess that it had been in... Looking much greener, and starting to grow... Leaves are now much bigger and longer and looking more like the pictures I see here... also the Red in the Stems from the cold weather my buddy subjected them to is starting to gow away... it's looking like it will start growing at a decent rate now.

Hey, thanks for posting this. Those nuggets look excellent! I already ordered my church seeds, (and some Barney's Farm L.S.D.) but it's nice to see others that like it. I can't wait to get mine going.

Hi guys, Just thought I'd throw a pic up... I finally flowered a clone from the mother plant my buddy gave me... actually I did two cycles of them, one on another (brand name) nute setup which did very, very, very poorly (small dime size buds), so now I'm mixing my own nutrients... this one got the new stuff for most of the flowering cycle... and it showed tremendous difference... I'm going to expect a little better next time though... since they'll have my new nutes for the full cycle...

the tables these were on, were side by side for compairison with exactly the same light... these got big, the others with the old "brand name" nutes were tiny

Since everyone else is throwing up dope pics of the Church, let me add a few end product nugs

once they're totally dry I'll take another pic, hopefully with a good camera... so far, the buds I've finished drying only shrink in size about 20%, my smallest nuggets weight around 1-2 grams dried, the large ones aren't finished yet, but I'll let you know how they end up ... I'll also let you know how much a single plants weight was when dried.... at first glance I'm guessing these were about 2oz per plant, 24" tall, vegged 4 weeks.... finished 8 weeks in flowering..

I've grown the church from greenhouse a few times and here's my opinion. It has always yellowed up and even dropped a lot of the fan leaves before I had a chance to harvest. This could be my mistake because I don't check my nutes for the ph or the tds/ec readings. The smell after curing is not good at all. The smell doesn't make you want to smoke it if you have never had it. When you smoke it, it doesn't taste good at all. But let me tell you, I've let it grow to day 70 under a 4 foot T5 florescent and it is a knocker. A knocker is the kind of weed that lays you out cold as if you got knocked out. It only takes 2 tokes to get a really good buzz. If you smoke anymore than that then you can just kiss the rest of your day bye-bye, you will need a nap. I'm sure if I dialed in the ph, and tds/ec than it would be even more outstanding. But just from what I've done, I was really impressed with this strain. I used Fox Farms Grow Big, Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom. I used Molasses from Whole Foods Market for my carbs.

Hi I know this is a slightly older thread but I'm a little curious (make that worried) about something. I'm just leaving week 5 of flowering The Church now and, compared to other strains I've grown, the girls seem to be slow in building out the flowers. The flowers showed really quickly but seem to have almost stalled...or at least aren't moving as fast as past grows of WW etc. were.

Did this happen with everyone else when growing this GH strain?
