greenhouse

i want to have 4-5 plants out doors but i wanted to know what is better 1st.. having the plants outside or in a small greenhiuse with no roof.. the purpose of having no roof would be because i wouldn't get to be there until the end of every week so i wouldn't be able to water them every 2-3 days. i would have the plants planted into the ground then i would have no worries about them getting root bound.. the odds of someone finding them are very slim.. but i wanted to know what would be the best type of greenhouse design to build for my situation?... o and i intend on having my plants sort of tall like 5-6 foot and bit bushy from toping and pruning them.

well i thought it over and i'll have the roof drooping down a bit so it can hold water then i'll put some holes in it so the plants get watered... what is better tho having a greenhouse over it or not... and how is it better

guys they lift the roofs up on green houses everyday,at least the big professional ones do...so it would be fine then later in the season just leave it on to keep the heat in.

ok i've decieded to have a roof but have a couple of vents in the sides to let fresh air in.. i've alsso decieded to let the roof droop a little so it will catch water.. and i will have a few holes in the roof to let the water get into the greenhouse so the plants will be auto watered inside.. the plants will be in the ground so there is no issue with being root bound.. if i have 6 plants will the legnth and with be good with 3'x3' because i want some extra room for them so they will get good air flow in between them... what is the point really of a green house.. wouldn't it be the same growing outdoors without one?

Let's look at the dictionary definition, shall we?

Greenhouse - a building, room, or area, usually chiefly of glass, in which the temperature is maintained within a desired range, used for cultivating tender plants or growing plants out of season.

So basically, the radiation from the sun gets trapped in the greenhouse, making for a sort of moist 'jungle' environment even when it's not that hot outside.
