I watered the 2 back plants the other day. Unclipped most of the clothes pins and have just been letting them grow.

As long as 82.9F is about your high, all is good.. that'd mean that 70ish is your low with lights off, yes? lookin' healthy, can't wait to see how the ladies grow out :D

I think highest its got was 85, which i was kind of worried but i dont think its that big of a deal. They're growing great right now.
I'm trying to figure out when i'm going to flip to 12/12. I'll be out town he last weeks until harvest if i switched them now. Thinking i'll let them grow for another week, clone them, and make the flip.
I've been on 24/7 lights on, would it hurt now to do 18/6?

You dont want it getting any closer to 90F.. 85 would be absolute max, as long as you had humidity up enough that the plants won't panic. You could veg a bit more, clone and then flip - as for 24/7 -> 18/6.. do that sooner than later if you plan to do it at all before the 12/12.

I am in So Cali but am on the coast.

I can expect about a week or two around 90 during a typical year.
The rest of the time my temps are near optimal.

I am wondering if there is anything that I can do to help ameliorate
the effects of these waves. Water more? Less? This sort of thing.

Just like growing mushrooms, there is little I can do but find those
breeds and species that just like it where I am. :0)

Take care,

JD

I'll just wait then I have no clue when I'm going to do the flip. I need to setup a seperate veg area so i can use the tent for just flowering

are they sitting in a pool of water? if so its overwatering. You can water every 3 or 4 hrs as long as they dry out in between

Every 3 to 4 hours? You must be dealing with 110F dry heat if you have to water every 3-4 hours, unless you're giving a tablespoon at a time or something to that effect.

I noticed some lower leaves were starting to look wierd. diagnosed it and picked up some cal/mag. replanted the ladies from 3gal buckets to 7gal. When i transplanted i fed the light feed which was 1tsp/ gal.
Other than that still just been letting them grow. I'm thinking with how big they're getting, that I'm going to stop at the hydro store, clone the girls, take the t5's out, hook up the hps and start flowering. What do ya'all think?DSC01953.jpgDSC01954.jpgDSC01955.jpgDSC01956.jpgDSC01957.jpgDSC01958.jpg

I have to get a timer, and flowering nutes w/ my paycheck thursday, so either thursday or friday. Do you think these little lady purps would produce anything going into flower right now? I might just continue vegging them and throwing them in the flower tent in a couple weeks... if theres room. I'm still up for ideas. I'm very limited in space. Thinking about hanging my t5 from my ceiling in the corner of my bedroom. I wish i would have bought a seperate veg tent when i had the money :/DSC01959.jpgDSC01960.jpgDSC01961.jpgDSC01962.jpg

Alright heres where advice is appreciated....
I'm going to flip to 12/12 monday 4-8-13. I'm feeding veg nutes today... 1 gal water/plant. 10ml Sensi A 10ml Sensi B, 5ml B-52, 1tsp CalMag. My ppms have been around 400-440 and i balance PH to 6 before feeding.
My plan is to go lights out 6 or 7PM on Saturday. I've heard giving them 48 hours of darkness helps in the swith to flower. But I've been on 24/7 light so idn what that will do so all the advice helps!

just adjust to 12/12... easy as pie
right on. hooked my timer up to my light and exhaust yesterday and lights out at 8am. My cameras dead right now but I set up a seperate veg area with my T5s. had to buy a bunch more shit for it I'm realizing this is going to be a expensive hobby to keep... but, supplying my own is waaaay worth it otherwise i spend at least 80/week on meds right now its redonkulous!
anyway, i figure i've got 2 months to come up with the cash for a 4x4 tent, which on ebay i can find it for $80. the 5x5 i got off there works great I would deffinitely reccomend. I had to duct tape a couple light cracks but deff worth the price. I bought another humidifier for my veg area, new fan. Oh and i got 4 clones that I'm trying right now in a cloning dome. I've heard keep it simple, so thats what i'm doing. kept one of the lady purps as a mom and put the other two in the flower tent along w/ the 4 green crack ladies.
pics to come.... sorry

Awesome, am glad you're planning this and working with what you have as you've learned to do / adapted to - look forward to updates as you can :)

Week 1, or day 7 of flower.
DSC01986.jpgDSC01990.jpgDSC01992.jpgDSC01994.jpgDSC01995.jpgDSC01989.jpg
I fed them their first feeding of flower nutes today too. 1/4 strength what the manufacturer reccomended.
I have my T5 hanging next to the tent on one of the lady purps, and a humidome that i have an uncessuful clone in, one more clone i'm attempting, a THCsnow bagseed that just sprouted yesterday and another that hasn't sprouted yet.
I ordered another 4x4 tent off amazon yesterday for vegging. Once it comes I'm going to buy 4 or 6 more clones and grow those till the green crack and lady purps are finished. The Lady purp I'm keeping as a mother right now I'm going to use to practice cloning with until i can get the hang of it better.
I'll try to update once a week now, any advice, suggestions or anything else let me know.
