Great white mycorrhizae

Hello. Today I received some Great White powder I bought off ebay. It is brown in color and smells like b vitamins. Having never purchased before I don't know if this is what it is supposed to look like. Anyone else know if this sounds normal? I thought powder was white? Thanks

It's fine.

Has sort of a Nestles Quik kinda consistency and smell. Don't use it past the first couple of weeks of flower.

@William1976, it's the roots that get white. The GreatWhite looks and smells kinda like Ovaltine. (tastes horrible though) Once you've used it the mycorrhizae colonize the soil and are there for the duration of the grow, including during flowering.

Why would you not use it past a few weeks of flower? I use it all the way up to the last two weeks of flower along with mammoth p.
I've noticed that it fucks up the way my main buds and colas structure. Gives them almost a stretched out look. Internodal spacing gets a bit off. I taper it off after week 2, then run Hydroguard to maintain the root zone. The root balls stay thick and bright white, not to mention the fact that it's cheaper to run HG than GW.

I honestly think it has to do with the fact that GW contains ecto mycorrhizae. There's a comapany that makes a similar product, minus the ecto. I'm gonna do a run in the near future using that product till the end of flower and will post the results here.

Also, one more thing, out of the 5 strains I run, one of them is completely unaffected by running GW through the end of flower.

That's good info, and thanks for not leaving us hanging! Maybe it has something to do with an abundance of mycorrhizae all vying for a home on the roots that whacks some strains. You must grow a lot to have been able to notice the difference. I sure as hell wouldn't have!

I usually have very tight nodes and rarely stretch that much unless it's a strain that is prone to stretch. I use GW one week an mammoth p the next. I just rotate them week to week. My last harvest had buds so dense I had to really press to grind them up. Not knocking your experience but I've never had any issues.

I contacted the makers of great white and they informed me that B vitamins are in fact added, and to my knowledge you are to stop using B vitamins during flower, such a superthrive. Perhaps that's why we should only use throughout veg and not flower. Thanks for all the great input growers!

I use GW/Kelp/molasses tea every water as a test last two cycles. Plants look better than ever. Increase in everything.

Not sure about internodal spacing, my indica's are rock hard and compact. I have a normally fluffy hybrid that's hard.

Great white is cheaper than hydroguard round here.
