Overall id give this a 7.8 out of 10

Strain:

Grapefruit - sativa but designed for a 8 week flower rather than the traditionally longer flower period that sativas thrive in.

this is the formal write up as sold... but i think the arly write ups put people off tbh ... saying that they had 80% stability

This is new style Sativa that is early maturing, fast flowering and maximum yielding. Buds have a soft smell of grapefruit, sweet taste and intense tropical high. Stabilised on early maturity for some generations now. Plants grow up to 50 to 60 cm, when put under 12/12 hours after one week of germination.

Flowering time: 8 weeks
Harvest outdoors: End of October (UK, NL)
Yield: Maximum

90% Sativa

Growth:

Within the details the write ups you see suggest that the stability of the seeds are poor but i found them to be no problems in comparison to some lemons that i did a while back.

The growth is typically staiva in that the daily growth during the 1st 2 weeks of 12/12 cycle show around 1" - 1.5" per day.

Id suggest flowering at 12" to get a 60"inch plant maximum as the branches that grow are thin and soon need support .

I used sticks for main arms a net to support the main arms higher up, and yo yos to lift up the buds as they got heavy and couldnt support themsleves.. if you grow this strain make preperations for supporting the arms for sure.

Nutes:
i use canna A and B with rizotonic = veg phase
i use canna a and b with bud blood week 1
i use canna a and b with big bud week 2 and 3
week 4 to 7 its canna a and b with hammerhead pk

2 weeks flush just ph water at 6.3

a 9 week cycle

Yield:
i flower these plants at 20" id recomend doing it a little earlier. say 12"--18" .....plant finished at 70" tall. i took 3.5" oz per plant ( i had 2 in a room with 6 others) under a 600w HPS and a light mover.

Bag Appeal: wtf is bag appeal.. if it means bud struture etc ill do that ?

see pics.

properly cured this is a super smell and flavour so id place it high up in bag appeal. the buds low down on the plant can be poor in terms of bagging up or (Jarring as i do :) ) so use them for bubble hash nice tip imo the bubble was superb very fresh and wow what a hit :D

Smell: fresh but sour: pretty close to what it says on the tin tbh

Taste: as the name suggests the flavour is that of a bitter sweet mixture. its a great taste to have in your collection if you a fan of the taste over other parts. its turpine rich and when properly cured (seems to take its flavour in just 2-3 weeks tbh but 5-6 its the best imo) its just superb.

The High: Typically mixed in a body stoned that settles in the chest and a buzzzy high in the head that is bigger than the bidy buzz. Very powerful trippy/hazey stoned that is long lasting in comparison to some.

Comments:

As with any strain i recommend dropping the humidity to 20-40. Really bings out those trichomes during the final phases.

Yeh i like this strain and would recommend it to sativa fans who know who to properly handle a girl who develops in this manner.

do not let the write up in the details put you off,,, whoevre wrote isnt very marketing savey are they lol .....

its a good tasty smoke that smashes you in the face in lehmans terms .. really wobles you up top and the body is a buzz not a body flop :D:D:D:

I have pictures

but i had sweet tooths in that i was concentraing on so there are just a few sorry

im doing the sweet toth report next so youll see some better quality then

hope you enjoyed its my first attempt for you lot so dont be to harsh :joint:;)

Not a huge Sativa fan myself, but I do enjoy grapefruit, a damn good smoke! Bag appeal is wat ya think, are the buds dense, tight, tasty, good aroma, everything we look fer in a bag.
+Rep fer this, especially w/the yo-yo trick! It's an oldie, but a goodie!!

Thanks for the nice review!

I've read there are a few different phenos with the shorter ones being the most desirable for their grapefruit/pineapple scent and good yield. I grew one from Female Seeds and got the spicier pheno. It smelled of soft grapefruit in veg and early flower, 5 weeks in she's developed a peppery/hashy odor that's unmistakable. The spicy pheno is said to have larger buds but I've only grown one and don't have another (yet) to compare.

fabulous strain to grow, simply a pleasure. she's a light feeder but didn't flinch when I accidentally overferted her.

i can NEVER get far enough from couchlock! even a little like in skunk #1 & blueberry just pisses me off. this sounds kind of like my kind of gear. functional & trippy is my favorite.

thanks for the lowdown

No good though as it will have a smell after a few weeks. So youd waste it

that's fine. i have several awesome enough strains that don't funk out and i'm REALLY keen to test malawi gold. that should be no worse than the second best strain i've ever blazed if not the 1st, though i'm not even sure if real columbian gold or jack's cleaner 2 is the best i've ever smoked as they're both nice and trippy with different effects.

it's such a shame that most people out there don't know what a real high is. you just have fun doing whatever with fucking emphasis on the word do and not stony doo doo or don't!

several people have told me not to gift my LA-cons, but they just don't sound as interesting as i know JC2 is for sure.

to me, funk is total SCHWAG appeal. it's a false hype labeled bag appeal to distract smokers from the fact the bud probably swallows shit in t he get you high department. i associate pretty much everything labelled "bag appeal" as an indication a bud is suckier and suckier

- stink? - afghani... pure stone, pure funk that isn't necessary. lousy useless smoke as far as i'm concerned.
- resin? - see afghani... fluffy columbian gold with tiny peachfuzz resin glands is all the potency you ever need and too much in fact if you don't respect it's limits
- nugs? - not just an afghani trait, but fucking annoying in it's own right regardless of the THC & odor profiles. what fucking use is a bud you can't break apart with your fingers? totally useless if you want to smoke bowls or even roll a joint. i fucking hate buds you have to slice with a razor.

"bag appeal" should be renamed "schwag appeal" because none of it gets you high
