Strain: Grape Krush by DJ Short
Genetics: 60% Indica/40% Sativa Hybrid
Lights: Two 125w CFL, Four 45w CFL, Two 60w CFL (keepin` it cheap this go-around)
Grow Room:7x7x7
Ventilation: two 8" fans intake, two 6" exhaust fan (perfect for Colorado High Altitude)
Fertilizer: Espoma Organic, Espoma Peat Moss, Espoma Vermiculite
Beans: 6 nonfeminised (all beans popped within 2 days of germination)
Phenotype: unknown
Watering Schedule: Every other day ( Foliar feeding once and a while)
Nutes: FoxFarm Grow Big, Tiger Bloom, Big Bloom (all future use later).

I started germination straight into my grow medium April 30th. Small 24oz cups with proper dranage, will transplant all 6 plants after about week 2 or so. All seeds popped May 3rd. Hoping for 5 out of 6 to be female. Grape Krush has some crazy phenotypes so hopefully I land a few of the right one... DJ Short has some great strains. I have seen and heard of Grape Krush going wild, like crinkly leaves and not turning purple like its relatives. I have also heard of GK producing huge yeilds while being beautiful and a great high and I have also heard of GK going lanky with little bud production.

I will keep journal updated as much as possible...

May 8th and all is great! Has anyone had any experience with growing Grape Krush? I believe that I have 2 Phenotypes here. 4 of 6 look Indica dominant and the other 2 look like Sativa dominant... Remember, all 6 popped the same day...

So I havent kept up the last 2 weeks, so I will post pics tonight!!!... I topped 3 plants a week ago and I did some simple LST today on the two new tops on each plant. I like to spread the tops apart so the bottom bud sites get more light. Plants look very healthy and all is well with everything else.. FoxFarm Big Grow is my fert of choice. I will be switching to 12/12 within 3 weeks. Plants now at 5 weeks tomorrow from seed... so I started with 6 plants and decided to give 3 to a friend that has never grown before.... just being nice.... *keep an eye out for pics of the 3 grape krush plants tonight*(.... keep watching for updates ....)

Here are th pics... all three topped after 4th node on May 27th (4th week from seed). I LSTd a little and tie down the two new tops on each plant today June 2nd. Plants hit 5 weeks old from seed on Wednesday. I am shooting for 3 more weeks in veg before the switch over. Cant wait for the purple colors to show during mid to late flower.... I will keep all you guys updated.....

Today is the first day of 12/12. Enjoy the pic and I will be posting weekly updates up until harvest. Harvest date estimated to be August 20th. 9 weeks from today... I will get some great pics soon purple is present on the stems of what will be colas. Not the typical reddish color that most cannabis stems get later in vegetative and into flower.. Very deep purple and I hope that means that these phenotypes of Grape Krush have great looking buds, so excited... Smell is very strong... Proud to announce that all plants are showing small preflowers with tiny white pistils prior to 12/12... Happy growing and stay tuned....

Did you get any Grape Krush males out of those seeds?

I wish you were using HPS, I'd love to see these flower under some powerful lighting. I've been eyeing this strain for a while now. I ordered a single seed a few days ago to run, will probably pick up 10 of them soon.

Going to post new pics tomorrow..!!!. so everyone keep your pants on, lol... All six female and the 3 I kept are all healthy and thriving... beanzz hps would be sweet, also to be honest, I rarely get males during my grows, dont know what I am doing, but I will keep doing the same thing for every future grow, usually 1 out of 9 if that are males for my usual larger grows. :) maybe next grow hps. I used t5, t8, t12 for years and cfls as well, but hps only a few large grows for medical patients here in CO, but this amazing strain is all mine... beanzz keep an eye out for pics!... :) you will not be dissapointed...
