Maybe I missed it but did GML ever step back & take a pic of both sides for us? All I've seen is close ups of the buds on each side moving around as a background to the show.
My side by side started off tough & the plant under the Elite is struggling in comparison to the HPS plant. My own fault but all plants got the same treatment whether bad or good.
I'm beginning to believe that white led plants are much more temperamental then HPS plants when faced w/ obstacles. That whole cob or white led deficiency problem is not a myth. Once a grower figured it all out n has it dialed in I'm sure it's not so much an issue, but if you're an HPS grower switching to white led, there's deff a learning curve.
I'll tell you guys what though, that Elite puts out as much or more light then a 1000w HPS for sure & definitely more intensity then one In a big hood. I'd imagine I'd have to put a Thouie in my lil Phantom (like a DayStar) high intensity hood or maybe a smaller medium sized hood to match that of the Elites photon density.
What strains is he running & how's the differences looking?

Yeah, there is a difference though that needs to be figured out.
So the separate nutes that came w/ some of the Burple LEDs last yr & the yr before prob aren't as BS as some of us may have thought.
More Mag seams to be an important one as well as Nit.
Added a lil AN revive to my regular feed & it made all the difference needed.
So, nobody has seen the side by side GML is doing yet? Like a view of both sides. Thought he was like almost done. Last update I saw was day 46 last wk. OneHitDone posts the videos here & that's how I see them.
Maybe I'm missing something?

He said the hps nugs are clearly bigger but not making any conclusions till the end as the led's are dense.
Wait till he puts an led over a plant in veg and the "Dwarf Factor" kicks in when he is used to them stretching up like normal

From what I saw in my trial runs last year, the HPS buds are always bigger but the led weight is there.
That Elite is mega bright though.

Lots of bigger operstors/growers are like that. Its because they know what the results will be when they employ the very specific methods and practices in thier setup.One thing I've noticed about gml is that he runs his grows like it's a drag race. He has one gear, and one throttle setting. He is going so hard that at the end he has to deploy a chute to slow down (extensive flush).
He only grows a couple of strains (albeit with a few testers this season). He is also very superstitious and very quick to blame. I mean superstitious in the sense that once something works for im, he becomes didactic and seems inflexible to other alternatives. It works eh, dam'it.
His growing style is specific to his strains and his "system". Now you can't really argue with the results, but be careful about taking any one thing he does out of context. It may not work for you.
As for the lights, which boards does the elite series use?
