Sup everyone?

I was posting here a lot a few months back, but fell off due other things going on in my life. Anyway, I'm looking to get back into the swing of posting and sharing my garden :).

This is the grow cab I am using, converted from an ugly old dresser that was about to get put on the curb:

It's actually been serving me quite well. Here is an older pic with a few plants inside:

I recently flowered Critical Jack Herer in the cab, until she became so funky that I was forced to chop her. The pics aren't her right before the chop, but the last pics I have of her, unfortunately:

I managed to take a clone before she was too far into flowering (on the right):

And here she is now, today:

She's almost due for another hair cut. Took three clones from her last week but she bounced right back. I'm keeping the clones in a separate, small cardboard box with 24 hours of light, lightly misting the inside of their ziplock bags and keeping the soil moist with a diluted fish emulsion mix. This is the same way I cloned the mother.

All bulbs are Cree LEDs, 65w equivalent. The plan is to place 2 - 3 clones into flowering shortly after showing growth for a perpetual harvest.

I will be making a homemade carbon filter soon to take care of the smell issues I had with the last harvest!

And because I've always dream of doing so, I started a garden this spring and am going to try my hand at growing veggies and a little bit of fruit. I've been starting seeds indoors in a small seed starting kit and keeping it on top of cable box for warmth:

I finished building the raised bed today (well, almost, need to find more rocks to line the mound the bed is on) and went ahead and transplanted the broccoli and lettuce seedlings into it for now.

Am currently germinating bush beans, hot peppers, green peppers, jalapenos, and red cherry tomatoes in the seed starter kit.

Could you remind me, are you running your cab in 12/12 or am I mistaken?

Cheers bro, outdoor garden is gonna ROCK!

Hey cool dude, I'm actually running it 18/6 right now while I have the mother and veggies in there. I will be switching it to 12/12 soon as the clones root in the small veg box though, and work on making a bigger veg cab to accommodate more clones and veggie seedlings.

Thanks for the support :)

Good to see you're still growing. Started following you when I got into my very first grow, then you feel off. This is very cool.

Wow, this is sick. This is what I am trying to do actually as we speak. I am way behind you, germing now, but I want to do led as well! I have a super tiny space, 16" long, 13" deep and 32" tall, and CFLs are HOT! So dish it all out!
Where did you get the bulbs? How many? What's the heat like compared to cfl? Do you have enough for a 5-7 plant SOG?
I see your clones are in the same solo cups that your moms are in, are you just going to keep them in that same cup for flower?
I apologize for all the questions but I am baked and doing this same thing!

The bulbs are found @ Home Depot and online. Each bulb has a heatsink which will radiate some heat, but is usually a 1/3 of what CFL's produce which is good because the light emitted by LED's is usually more usable by the plants.

I would recommend going a little more blue to keep stretch to a minimum. Like a 1:1 ration of 2700k to 5000k bulbs.

I veg with 3000k and 5000k and bloom with 2700 and 3000k with one or two blue bulbs to help with stretch :peace:
