Got caught with a Pound...

Hey friends i recently got caught with a pound after i wrecked my car after hitting a tree in auburn. The tow truck towed my car to its lot and i was hospitalized and the police searched my car and confiscated my stuff. I was wondering what to do and if i could retrieve it? Im carded with 99

My scrip says I can possess 3 pounds. What does yours say?

3 also but my scrips expired but i went and got a new one thats dated after the accident since i couldnt get hold of my old doc. i have all my papers scripps dating back to 2011 and hospital records

I would think it would be based on your state laws. If your legal I don't see how you having any amount would effect you. You might have trouble if you were not "valid" at the time. It would seem that if the state wanted more out of you then impound fee's or other expenses this is were they would go after you. Going to jail, I doubt it, highly. You are worth more paying back fines then sitting in jail. On a side note, it is much cheaper to sit in jail then pay all the crap fines, booking fees (regardless of booking or not),court fees, work programs it all adds up to way more then what you would have paid waiting to be released. Not the best choice unless it's something your comfortable doing.

Id do some research on auburn laws. You might get hit since you werent legal. Hope you didnt have anything bagged up. Might hit you with sales. How did you run into a tree?

I seriously doubt they will return it to you, wishful thinking, besides, they probably already smoked it all, as said, best check your state laws and hire a lawyer, sorry to hear abt that, best of luck.

You guys are allowed t 3 pounds of medical marijuana for personal use? In most states you're only allowed a couple of ounces. What the hey!

I know a friend in Sac. that left a lb. in a rental car. He went back to get it from the rental co. And they told him "no, we will call the police". He told them go ahead call the police. The police came, my friend showed them his cannabis card and they told the rental co. to return his lb.

My doc wrote his for 6 lb
