Ah, ok. Well I did find some Miracle Gro Perlite at Lowe's so...WE HAVE PERLITE! Just have to be extra careful with the feeding since it does contain plant food as well. And the soil is supposed to feed up to 4 months.

The Ganesh cracked her shell open so, shouldn't be too much longer for her, nothing with the Bubblegummer yet but it's still pretty early. Mixing the perlite and soil in a minute, just looking for some newspaper to lay in the bottom of these pots.

wow, yours are fast :) Mine, after 20hours of soaking are still hard closed :) dropped them today to peat pellets.
Hope C99 will not have problems germinating. Since I was keeping it for 2 years in a drawer.

Now that you got your 8mpixel cam, you can make pics of your grow box. Are you planning to grow in the same grow box you were using months ago?

Haha, yea germination is probably my strongest area, hope that transfers when I start cloning.

Well man, I keep mine in a security box in my bedroom so I think it'll be ok. The Bubblegummer blew passed the Ganesh and was almost an inch long, just got home from work and planted her. The Ganesh seed is cracked and just barely peeking out at me. So maybe another 24-48 hours for her.

And yea, I decided to just roll with the old box since I decided to do 2 again. I'll take some pictures of it soon.

The Bubblegummer has made it's way above soil level. The Ganesh has not budged. Think I may have a dud here. The shell is slightly cracked but that's about it. Maybe I caused it to rot out? If nothing happens with her by the time I go to work I will drop her in a glass of water as my last resort to get her to pop.

Back to the Bubblegummer, she has a brand new 42 watt bulb around 3 inches above her. Almost has her shell completely off, today will be her first day of light. I was unable to find a better fan with the size I needed so I'll be rolling with the cheapo 6 in. fan again as well.

Pictures to come later today.

After having some problems with seed shell drying and damaging the seedling, now I mist a transparent party cup and cover the plant, but with 3 inches from the lamp you could boil her that way. Still after half an hour keeping a seedling under misted cup due to high humidity that shell slides of the seedling like through butter.
Sorry to hear that another bean is not picking up. Maybe she just needs more time.

Sorry for the delay on the pictures sim. I'll get those up tonight.

Just a short and simple update. The bubblegummer seedling is about 3 inches tall now and doing very well. The ganesh spirit seed still has not budged. Pretty sure I have a dud. Will give it til tonight, if it doesn't show a root...I'll be popping another, probably a different strain though.

Whichever pops for the second plant will be put into 12/12 same time as the bubblegummer.

Day 10 of veg. Bubblegummer.

Sorry for the long delay there sim. Here she is. Doing well, asking for more light now though as she is still just under the one 42 watt bulb. These were taken just after I watered. Temps are around 75F with 50% humidity. That will change tomorrow when I add two bulbs but I'll also be turning on the intake fan and turning on the small fan when I do that.

I'm not aerating my water this time around, just straight from the tap - container-plant. But, yea...she's doing great.I'll decide tonight if I want to pop another one, if I do I'll keep the bubblegummer in veg until the other pops above ground.

1. Shots of lights and plant as of today, we are still in veg as of now and are right at 2 weeks in. Made some changes to my plan, will talk more about that at the end of this. (Bulbs are 42 watts.)

2. Shot of the small peice of wood (deck rail) used for hanging/stabilizing the lamp/bulbs. I used a chain and the hanger that came with the lamp.

3. Also part of the lights, simple idea to make sure it didn't rip through the cardboard, I used a screw and a flat metal washer to pinch the cardboard in between the wood post and washer. As you can see it crushed it a bit but still stable. I also used zip ties to kinda give it some extra stability (see pic 2).

4. This is a shot of my one PC fan intake.

And there's the description of my little setup.

Alright so right around 2 and a half weeks into veg is when I flipped. She was kept in the dark for longer than really needed, for scheduling reasons, so maybe a full day in the dark. Right now, we are about midway through her second day of 12/12. She was watered the other day and just a few minutes ago I added one more 42 watt bulb and a 26 watt bulb for a total of 3 42 watt bulbs and 1 26 watt bulb (roughly 10,000 lumens).

I realize now that I didn't mention my new plan, I'll put that in another post as I have a few pictures for this one. Btw, I will not be adding anymore bulbs this most recent addition will be it for the rest of the grow.

And pictures as of last night, Day 2 of flower.

Thanks sim! I did try. I wish the PC fans were stronger. Those you see are really fucking old. I mean like 12 years old if not more. But I looked at it as, somethings better than nothing..

So my plan is to turn this into a semi perpetual grow. I will make a smaller box, probably just spray paint the inside white instead of using the mylar blankets on this one. Will be a one bulb, meant only for vegging during the last few weeks of the Bubblegummers flowering period. That way, by the time the bubblegummer is out, two plants go into flowering.

Reason for this is I am having a terrible time finding any smoke in my area. And when I do, the so called "high-grade" has seeds, the last bag gave me a headache, and I just haven't been too happy with it.

Nice lookin plant man! Compact, bushy, covered in vigour circles. Cant wait for the next 3 weeks to see it climbing out of your grow box :p

Appreciate it boss. Yea I may have to tie down the top of the plant. Vegged a week longer than I initially wanted to due to my change of plans. But I'm sure ill be happy with the end result.

Getting a small amount of that typical weed smell now. The temps are getting a little higher than I want too so when I get off work ill be turning on the intake fan and hopefully that'll resolve it.

Other than that, ill start adding a small pinch of epsom to my water every other watering. No sign that she needs more food yet...still doing okay with what was provided in the soil. However, I may feed either mid stretch or when she seems to stop stretching.

Well if you'll take care of heat, will not create negative pressure it might be just enough to get rid of the smell. Now that I don't have bugs anymore, there's no weed smell in my garden, only when i start touching them to train or spray sts

Don't wait for deficiencies to show up. You can do like 1-2ml of grow food per gal. Epsom is appreciated as well. Although epsom excess can slow down the growth. But it might be even handy for you :)

Bubblegummer Day 8 of flower.
20141107_195138.jpg 20141107_195213.jpg

These are shots from last night, still doing well. Showed some light deficiencies so I fed a bit more with the watering that was done last night. Other than having to adjust the lights everyday now, not too much to report. Going to tie down some shoots tonight when the light comes on.

Decided to do a BB x WW and want to give C99 another go as well. Those will be started 2-3 weeks before chopping the bubblegummer.

We're about 11-12 days into flower now, pistils have started to form. She grew into the lights before I could get to her so she was slightly burned. Still though, I have not had any leaf drop whatsoever, aside from the coty leaves. She was just watered today and I forgot to mention that flowering will and has been done on a 11/13 schedule...for scheduling purposes.

I'll get some more pictures up in another day or two.

Hehe, we're on the same boat with this vertical space limit man :)
I also brought down my flower timing to 11/13, but for bringing out sativa expression in plant. There's DJ short post floating around how different flower times influence different plant response.

Yup, and I'm inches away from running out so, tying down is a must now, and I'll be doing that in a few minutes actually. Don't want her burned again, ya know. I may lose the first (single bladed) set of leaves, she'll get another feeding on the next watering, probably go the full dose if not close to it.

I'll get some pictures up after I tie her down. Its a little over 2 weeks into flower, and last pictures were at day 8.

Today is right about day 31, sorry I've been away. I'll get some pictures up as soon as I can, I am, however, going to lose some leaves. Pot got too dry a few times, after that a few things went downhill. I've been doing nothing but water the past three times, next watering she will be getting some food as she has pushed out quite a bit since the last feeding.

So yea, there you have it. Should be right around 3-4 weeks lefts, lots of green still left on the plant and I plan to keep it that way. Hoping to hit my oz. per plant mark with this one, if things keep pushing like they've been, I don't see why not.
