Hey all. The end of this week will put us on week 7 and the lemon kush looks to be almost there. She has put on some nice weight..not as sticky as the pure ak but sticky nonetheless. Lemon kush is showing some amber, waiting for her to hit around 15 percent amber for this particular one.

The pure ak has suffered this entire grow...slow start and leaf drop made things ugly. She will need a watering tonight. Ill have some shots of both of these tonight.

Btw...the pure ak is roughly 60 percent clear and the rest cloudy.

Updated picturea to come when i get off work.

Alright guys, I apologize for my absence, the holidays kept me away from the house for about 4 days and during that time the Pure AK dried up on me. All leaves are dead and dried out, I gave her a watering night before last with no luck on bringing her back. This was a thirsty plant by the way, she needed water almost twice as much as the lemon kush. So, it's been about two days since the watering and not an ounce of the water has been taken up by the plant, probably will just go ahead and chop her tonight, unless anyone gives a good reason for me to do otherwise.

The Lemon Kush is still doing pretty good. I can count about 10 buds that are nice, fat, and dense. The scent kind of reminds me of oversweetened lemonade. Trichs are right around 20% clear, 70% cloudy, 10% amber. I'll be keeping an eye on the trichs but it looks like I'll be chopping her within the next 2-5 days. Going to bubble some water for about 45 minutes before the lights go out as she needs a watering.

I'll be back with pictures of the lemon kush, going to wait til I chop down the AK to take pictures of her. The C99 is still in rough shape as well but still alive and kicking, I'll be getting her right as soon as the AK is out of the way. I'll probably just spend the next month making a mother out of her, if possible.

And here she is, the Lemon Kush. As you can see she had some leaf drop as well, I've had about a handful of missed waterings during the 12/12 cycle. Things just got really...really busy for a bit but, I am having high hopes about hitting my half oz mark with this one. Going to check the trichs more thoroughly tonight, hope to chop by Saturday night.

And another thing about the Pure AK, buds for the most part are pretty airy, and this stuff will also dry pretty quickly.

What it do...riu?!

Last night I chopped and trimmed what I think is the Pure AK. Too early to tell but I dont think I'll be hitting my half ounce mark with this one. She was finished (considering she's supposed to have the effect of a sativa).

I'll be checking the Lemon Kush daily..should be chopping her soon..if not tonight. I'm actually hoping for tonight so I can have the box totally dedicated to the C99.

Sim if you see this...I'm going out tomorrow morning to get some boveda packs. Do I have the right idea when I say throw in the pack and keep it closed the entire time? They sound very effective and i definitely want to give them a try.

Hey man, glad to hear you're having some harvest time ;) as for boveda: 8g pack per quart. I bought from internet 10x8g packs, still have like 4 of them. I do not do any burping, it's a 2way humidity control. I check every week or two or even month but just to check how it is doing. But before the curing, drying has to go as slow as possible. This grow i'll try to do some preharvest fermentation, then dry with little leaves on, then trim and boveda cure

Appreciate the response sim. Unfortunately I was unable to find any locally. And for the life of me, I can't get these to dry any slower than 3 days. I've had them in jars for at least a few days now, and I'm not sure how much moisture is left in these buds. I'm burping on a cycle of 12 hours closed tight and 30 minutes open. I have the jars opened now and I'll probably start putting a bigger gap between burps.

The plant I think to be the Pure AK weighed in at 11.5 grams, and the Lemon Kush weighed in at 18.1 grams. Not too shabby but if I can't bring back those wonderful scents and flavors, I'll be disappointed. And for the hell of it, I'm going to try some of this Lemon Kush real quick just to see what we are working with.

So the Lemon Kush has a nice stone to it, hits my eyes first. Flavor is bland, not much there as of now. Smell is still inside buds and pretty strong so hopefully there's still a chance on bringing that out. I am going to go ahead and order some boveda packs tomorrow. If anything we'll get to see if they do anything for what I'm going to call over-dried buds.

The C99 showed sex 4 or 5 days ago, she will start getting my attention again now that all the holidays are over and work has slowed back down to normal. She will be put on a 18/6 schedule starting tonight, as well as transplanted into what's going to be her final pot. She's in rough shape but I have no doubt we can bring her back.

Back for another round! If you scroll through this thread, you'll see a lot of screw ups by yours truly.....not this time. Going back to when I first started to grow...I used Miracle Gro. Organics....I just think I make it to be more than what it really is. I don't know, I will be going back to it

Miracle Gro has a bad rep, but it does work just fine. My leaves stayed green almost every time I used it, maybe a few lower branch leaves but other than that, rock solid. Not trying to turn this into a debate or anything, just my opinion I guess. Anyways, for this grow I will be using Scotts Hyponex Potting Soil (0.07-0.01-0.03), Miracle Gro All-Purpose Plant Food (12-4-8 ) Epsom Salt, tap water.

I will be just using the same set up from last time except I will be getting a better fan for circulation and using brand new 42 watt/2700 lumens, 2700k bulbs(3) and maybe an additional 2 bulbs of various wattage producing at least 1600 lumens. Also, I want to put another lamp in to even out the usage on the fixture and to be able to adjust a bit better when needed.

As for strains, one will definitely be Female Seeds Bubblegummer because that's the only one I was going to grow at first. Just recently decided to add another, just haven't decided which. It's between another shot at C99 and a Ganesh Spirit from Sweet Seeds which i have tried...and tried..but for one reason or another have failed to succesfully grow yet. Will make the decision before I hit the hay because they will be placed in paper towels then.

Something else to note. I will only keep these plants in veg for a week and a half at most. With a hope and a prayer...smokeable by xmas. Goals for this grow are to stay green, slow dry, and this time a well timed Boveda cure. Can't wait to get going, let you know what other strain I chose tomorrow.

FS BUBBLEGUMMER AND SS GANESH SPIRIT. Thee chosen ones. Todays agenda involves buying and mixing 25% more perlite into the Hyponex mix. As well as setting up the lamps/bulbs and checking out some fans while I'm out as well.

I'll be back in a bit and take a few pictures of my supplies and of the seeds in towels. (that way you can get a look at my new camera SIM!) Not top of the line camera work, but my pictures are 100% better.

A shot of what I'll be using (minus the Epsom Salt), and seeds. More bulbs of course. Those are 8 in. pots and they'll be grown completely out in those pots. No luck on finding any perlite, a lot of the big box stores already filled where that was with xmas stuff. We'll just have to roll without it.

HAHA! Yea I believe this is an 8mp camera w/ flash.

Well I'm going to go check out a lowe's today, they usually have the Miracle Gro version but thats usually during the warm seasons as well. Matter of fact, I might head up there now. It's my last day off before I go back to the two jobs, I tend to procrastinate everything heavily.

Oh and nice on the thrip fix! Hear about that product quite a bit, have to make sure I remember it if I ever encounter them. Maybe I have and was just too noobie to know?

Nah man, those are fuckers, almost invisible(differes per species). Leaves get some silver traces and leaves turn very dry. Stuns the growth incredibly. You'll see if you will. But this spinosad containing product kills a lot of fuckers, i.e. spidermites
