Purchased about 500$ worth of seeds, did the bitcoin thing which gave me a serious discount.. down to 400 and some change.

Shipment 1 hits Chicago (Aprox. 4 weeks to door step) - DVD Method - Customs tears it apart and sends me the DVD's.
I spoke with some chill dudes at Gorilla and let them know, sent pics, offered to compensate their loss or split the difference..
(b/c hey I'm a fair guy and we both are gambling right?)

Shipment 2 hits Chicago (Aprox 2.5 weeks to door step) - DVD Method plus a few extra things (i'm not mentioning what) - Customs tears it apart and I get a few new DVD's.
So I'm in the same boat again, this time trying a different address in another state that I know doesn't hit Chicago. Of course I am willing to pay extra $ because I enjoy good customer service and live in the real world. I was supposed to hear back last Monday, I'll try to reach back out next week and get a status update.

I can say that these guys are cool when you can get hold of them, although you do need to reach out a bit and engage them. I understand Gorilla can't just reship forever until the package gets through.

I did have a thought though... no one watches DVD's anymore. Shipping them first class over night or whatever internationally seems suspicious. Maybe an alternative method? I'm pretty sure they know what to look for right now 7-18-2015.

Guys, only order like 5 seeds. Track your shipment; If it's moving through Chicago DO NOT purchase large amounts. Just do very small amounts to minimize your risk.

And U.S. Customs, I must say you're doing a great job at pissing me off. Thanks.
Did you speak to Gavin on the phone & he hasn't gotten back to you?

I'll make sure he does.
I don't want to step into the middle of what he's doing for you, but I believe he did send an email with your pictures that I was copied on.

2 in a row is really bad luck, and we keep suggesting better methods for stealth, but our head packer would shoot them down.
He just quit and they're training a whole new crew next week, so it might be a good time to push for change again.

I'm the only idiot that works 7 days a week, so it'll definitely be Monday at the earliest before I hear back.

My order came threw Illinois as well way smaller order tho so its deff poss for us small guys but it came to OH

We get lots of orders through Chicago, way more than we lose, but it's also the most problematic.
And, it seems to be the same for everyone.

I live in a different part of the country & never had a problem with anything coming my way.

Gavin has been awesome. He's who I reach out to when I don't hear back on my tickets. I usually just use e-mail, so haven't been too worried about it. But seriously, I know you all over @ Gorilla keep saying it's no biggie, but I'm totally cool with sending you extra $$ for all the trouble. Not your fault Chicago is lame.

I wanted to give a special shout out to Sherry and the Gorilla folks... I received my order in record time, and Sherry even offered to help me track it and make upgrades without being asked to do so!! She made me feel important like a company should. Buy from them, they're great!!!!

I'm going to PM you to get your order number & see what's going on with your email.
Both people who handle our emails are on holiday for 2 weeks so Gavin is filling in.
Between the 2 of us, we've made sure all emails are handled - unless the filter catches you for profanity or illegal use terms.
I'd like to get your ticket numbers too for any emails to see where they went.

Just wanted to update. Gorilla went through great lengths to make good on their word. Just want to say thank you again to Sherry and Gavin. These two seriously go the distance. I don't think any other bank would have hung in there like they did. Insane customer service. :)

Im curious about paying U.S cash dollars to the U.K. Is that acceptable? Is Gorilla Seed Bank cool with US currency?
