Gorilla Grow Tent LITE Q/A

Hey y'all,
I'm considering purchasing one of the GGT LITE line tents. Are these good for the money? Is smell able to be contained in this line of Gorilla tents. Half a grand for the original GGT seems insane to me. Let me know.

Hey there. I have a GGT that is 2x2.5x6'11. In my opinon it is made we'll, but there are some issues with light getting through the zipper seams, it isn't bad but if it was completely dark in the room you could see a few light spots. I can't speak for the GGT "lite" series but I know the original GGT in my size is a little flimsy but it holds my 6x12" phresh filter, 4" hurricane inline fan, and Kind LED K300l light with no issues. While I assume you can get by using the lite I would recommend getting the original or finding another solution. Again, this is just my 2 cents, im sure many of people have found the "lite" series to meet or exceed their expectations.

IMO the only real difference is the stitching around the seams. They all have light leaks, from secret jardin to Apollo. I haven't understood paying for such an expensive tent yet tbh. I would build my own at that price

i have a 2x4 ggt lite. yes, they have the usual light leaks but i haven't had any issues. as long as your scubber is pulling negative pressure, you'll never smell what's inside! this can be done with cheaper tents. GGT Lite's are strong, have decent zippers, and have window - yet to decide if they are "worth" it. i grew and harvested healthy plants in a cheaper tent, with no smell issues. i wanted to upgrade so i went with GGT - now i have my room in progress!!
oversize your filter and exhaust fan - tents are ovens, so keep ventilation in mind!!

My tent is 4x4x6.11 I'll have a exhaust for my light and an exhaust for my scrubber. My light will be a 1000w. What size fan do I need to either. Smell is a serious issue .

i've never had a 1k (yet)!

your cooltube/hood will affect your airflow, so will your duct work(length). get a fan (thats too big) AND a controller (to slow it down). you want to move as much air as needed, quitely/easily, so buy a big fan and turn it down! i'd do 8"ducting and a 8" hood/cooltube - 6" will work, too, just faster airflow. think about where you exhaust your heated air, also.
your scubber size should exchange your air, at least, twice a minute. again big fan, turned down - DO NOT exceed your filter's cfm!! you want your scubber to pull the sides of the tent in (pulling a vacuum), ensuring everything is being pulled through your filter.
my setup: 6"x18" skinny Phresh>400w cooltube>6" Vortex>outside window. i have 6" ducts and can place my hand on cooltube! this keeps my 2x4 in the mid 70's, while the room is low 70's.
figure your tent's cubic feet and start shopping!!! have fun and good luck with the setup.

If you get an 8 inch fan and plan on using a fan controller.. expect to here some buzzing.. unless you get a top of the line fine, turning down an 8 inch fan is still pretty noisy. Buzzzzzzzzz

there's a fan speed controller on Amazon that's expensive but really doesn't make much buzzing from the fans.

I have a 4x4 and a 2x4 lite line and they are great. I'm only using the 4x4 for a flower chamber and it makes it easier to control a smaller area using a tent. Easier to keep airflow moving through the tents creating negative pressure on the tent to keep all smells going into the carbon filter.

I have a 4x4 lite line, a 5x5 regular gorilla (not lite line) a 2x4 secret jardin, 3x3 secret jardin, and a 1.4x1.4 growlab. The gorilla lite line is the best for the money. The regular gorilla tents are better, but are they double the damn price better? I think not, especially if you live in a legal state or you're not terrified of police spending tens of thousands flying helicopters around to find your few ounces of weed in a 4x4 space. However, the lite line is definitely superior enough to the secret jardin tents that it totally justified the insane price difference there.

I just bought a lite line tent and the front bottom zipper as well as pretty much ALL the seams leak light.. Gorilla Reps have no fux2giv on the matter.. Odd, because when I purchased a tent from them in the past.. they were awesome about making it right.. Well.. you better hope you get a good tent when you buy one from them these days because they are going to give you the middle finger if you come to them with an issue.
