Beautiful garden sshz, didn't see anywhere how many lights you ran. Also curious how big that space is. Keep up the solid work.

I guess the grow footprint is 8X10, the room is slightly bigger so I can get around in it to water. I use two 1000 HPS lights..........more would be better but heat is a problem, especially in the summer. My winter crops are generally better with the cooler temps.

An early smoke report.........I'll do a detailed one when I have the final weight.

1 hit off the Roor bong........bud has dried only for about 8 days now, still needs more drying and curing time. But it's incredibly resiny. Hints of lemon, coffee, and a bit woody. I think it tastes better than it smells. Buzz comes on super quickly, especially at the base of the skull. I feel it in my eyes and temples too. A few minutes later, you feel a relaxing tidal wave, especially upper body.

To finish post, I'll also mention how long lasting this is......in previous times smoking it, I've remembered thinking 3-4 hours later, wow, I'm still high. Since I've been smoking this for almost 2 weeks now (testing, etc.), I've never hit the bong more than 3 times in the evening, and average was twice.

First lb. ready to start the curing process.......6 days hanging, now the burp process begins. The 5 remaining plants I'm holding off til Sunday, but today is 10 weeks which is about as long as I ever go. Stuff really gets high marks, weight keeps getting better and better.

Hey SSHZ, looks good braddah! And it sounds great from your smoke report. I'm glad this grow turned out a lot better than it sounded like it was going to in the early part of flowering. Are you almost done with trimming?

Sunday- about to trim the last 5 plants today, day 73. Wife is happy day is finally here. Lol. Tomorrow is a clean up day, need to replace 8 inch exhaust fan, and mite prevention. Then time to start up all over again. More pic's up when I get a chance....

Trimmed 4 plants, left one to continue flowering which is still way behind everything else but still very healthy and heavy yielding. I'll start cleaning the room tomorrow, and start up again by Wed. Enclosed in Pic 2 of another container, having dried I guess for 8 days now. I'm now estimating final weight will be over 4 lbs., maybe the 2nd or 3rd largest yield ever (after my years-ago Mr. Nice Medicine Man grow and a mixed-kush grow). I'm seriously thinking about enclosing a "potency warning" when people start to get this, just to prepare them for what they're about to smoke.

Really nice looking haul you pulled in there!

A potency warning would be pretty funny to see on a baggie. I'd take it seriously. I'm sure it would provoke some guys to a pecker measuring contest, but at least they couldn't say you didn't warn them, ha ha :bigjoint:

Oh, by the way.......not one seed has been found. As I expected. I've packaged 54 oz. so far, and have 17 more oz in tupperware curing, which I expect to lose another 1-2 oz in the drying process.

I hate to tell the world, but this is good pot. I'd say equal to DNA/Reserva Privada quality, but at much cheaper prices. I think I've had 100% germination in 2 grows, the plants are strong and easy to care for, well worth consideration for any grow.

I'll probably go back and do their Zombie Virus again too but let it go longer, maybe 9.5 weeks- and although it was very good, I don't think it reached it's full potential in that grow.

I started the new Citral Glue seeds 2 days ago and after sprouting, they are all now in dirt waiting to break the soil. After this post, I'll be starting a new thread for the Citral Glue.

So, to finish this strain, I still have 1 plant in flowering, today is 11 weeks and I'm not sure if it will ever finish at this point. Buds are hard, just not finishing off resin wise. Not sure what I'll do at this point, maybe turn it to hash, or put it outside or just destroy it and be done with it. Total weight then was 69 oz from 23 plants, exactly a 3 oz average, which is excellent for my type of grow. This confirms my highest yielding crop in recent memory, maybe ever. I think the pinching helped, opposed to what I thought earlier. The quality is very high, the buzz is strong and long lasting. It definitely leans towards the sativa side but with a relaxing/calming/pain release nature to it after a while. All the plants were done between 9-10 weeks, except for the single oddball. The smell is strong, and smells like a mix of things but nothing stands out- it was lemony early on, now I think that's lost and it actually smells more like an indica than a sativa to me- but still pretty smelly. Great bag appeal, and friends who have smoked it have raved. It is a bit racey early on (think C99), but after about an hour that passes and the high comes on almost instantly with a 2X4 to the back of the head and remains in the head- temples, eyes, etc.

Better than 95% of the things I grow from well known seed banks, I'm actually a bit surprised. 2 winners in a row from Expert Seeds- both high yielding, quality smoke that everyone loves that keeps them coming back for more and more. I've had some friends visit 4X for the Zombie Virus, which for me is unheard of. Maybe 1 last pic up later.....

Hey SSHZ, I saw a post of yours regarding Kosher Kush from Reserva Privada and you liked it. Can you say when they were purchased? I've heard that the older seed stock was better?

Hum.........it was definitely one of the U.K. seed banks, but not Attitude. Maybe Herbie's or The Vault or one of those. Give me a day to see if I can find the receipt, I may have it. That was a number of grows ago.......

Actually..........I think I only grew 3 of those plants, which tells me they may have been freebies- I'm pretty sure they were now. One of the Banks were offering them out, which means they were probably older stock so what you are saying makes sense. I'll look and see if I can find it.......Did you read the thread, I usually mention where I get the seeds from?

I also just checked and kept some of seeds of it that hermied off of one of those plants. I kept them since they were that good. I've given some of them out- people reported back that they took clones off of those and they turned out with no hermie action. I can let you have a few of what's left if you wish- P.M. me.

I wanted to mention the "oddball" plant I've been dealing with- I'm more convinced than ever that this plant is a different strain all-together. I just did a thorough inspection- it's still nicely green after 11 weeks of flowering, and I haven't fertilized for 2-3 weeks now. I'm seeing some browning finally taking place, but not the resin production. I'd love to throw it out and be done with it, but I'll always wonder if it's a "holy grail".......LOL Buds are dense, plant has at least 3-4 oz on it and not putting off much smell. I think over the w/e I'll cut and quick dry a bud and let that make my decision- because in my mind It's still around 2+ weeks away from finishing. I forgot to mention I had turned the light back to 10 on, 14 off about a week ago too to help it along........

SSHZ, for now I think I'm gonna go another route but I appreciate your offer. Shows your heart. To that end I'd like to say I'm sorry to hear about your brother. I know we don't know each other, and the internet is quite an impersonal thing, but I truly do hope he gets well soon.

I do not feel worthy to stand in the presence of men greater than myself.

Your journal is fun to read. Enjoy the fruit of your hard work.

I'm not religious but I'll send some positive thoughts for your brother.

Last oddball plant was killed off today.......I gave it every chance to mature and it refused.

Thanks for all the nice wishes regarding my brother. Saw him today for brunch, looked shockingly bad. Can only hope for the best.

On to the Citral Glue thread now, thanks for following along.

Right on, I'll be following along on your next grow. I'm interested to see what's up with the Citral Glue.

Would your brother try eating hash oil? It helps a lot of cancer patients.
