hey Brimi -
just exactly what is "early" and late, if you dont mind clarifying... im really curious about this. i would love to harvest earlier if an indica would be able to provide some "uppityness" similar to whats found in sativas...
If you harvest your indica early - when trichomes are white - some of them still clear you will have a more "up" high compared to if you finish it off letting many trichomes go amber color.
Same goes for a sativa, if you let it go long enough to get many amber trichomes the sativa high is spoiled and it get's more relaxed (this will take some time with a pretty pure sativa ;O) )

cool, ive read about this before. just curious, do you happen to know at what magnification level i would be able to discern between "clear" and "amber"?
perhaps with a jeweler's loop...

You could use a x30 or 40, but it's really hard to see. I got a 40 and it's just too small for me to see properly. I would get x100 to get a nice view - also i like to see the trichomes instead of juuuust seing some colored dots. ;O)
