Hey buddy. Thanks for checking on me. I have been wondering about you. Glad to hear from you. Hope the new job is a good one.

My spring crop went to hell in a hand basket. With no way to veg with lights, I just started earlier. My screen room would only hold plants until they were about a foot tall, and round after round got ate by grasshoppers when I would put them out. I did keep a few alive long enough to flower, including a Big Buddha as well as other Lost River gear a friend had gifted me. Then we had almost two weeks of lows in the 20's {with 2 nights at 16-fucking-F} It killed everything, including all the young ones in the screen room. I was able to salvage a little from the Big Buddha that is pretty smokable. I had more of the Tatooine Dream, but it was deader than the BB and is real harsh. I smoked some to see how heady it was, but I'll toss the rest.

But since it all died, {and January is my slowest month at work} I have been hiking a bunch. I've also been catching up on work around the farm. And I haven't got high today. Had a couple of close calls smoking at work {as well as on the trail}, so I decided to dry out for a while. Last night when I was night hiking, I found a little bud of GrapishBS {the mother of Gorille de Raisin} in one of my remote stashes. I like the idea of stopping with the taste of the good stuff still fresh in my memory.

I've only been outside a couple of times today, but from my desk, it looks like it's a nice day out. At 1620 it's partly cloudy, 61F with 48% humidity. Forecast high low of 62/53F with 60% chance of rain tonight {and 100% tomorrow}. 10 day high/low of 76/45F with 4 days of possible rain. We can use all we can get.

Damn, I almost let this thread slide for a month. We have had weather, I just haven't posted about it.

I hiked yesterday, camped last night and hiked until time to get to work today. It was hot as hell. 84F when I got in the car.

At 1700 it's sunny, 81F with 55% humidity. Forecast high/low of 82/61F with 10% chance of rain tonight. 10 day high/low 82/52 with 2 days of possible rain.

I know it's too early, but I'm going to plant some melons, peas and corn this Sunday or Monday. It will grow like hell until the frost kills it.

It was cool yesterday, but the frost this morning was a total surprise. Pretty solid on car windshield, even though the temp showed 41F when I left for work at 0645. I have lots of pepper and a few orange tree sprouts. Hope they are OK.

It was sunny and warm today. At 1925 it's 50F with 58% humidity. Forecast high/low of 73/43F with no chance of rain tonight. 10 day high/low of 75/37F with 3 days of possible rain. One of those days is Tuesday, when I had hoped to cup up the pepper sprouts. A little shower wouldn't be the end of the world.

I hate those indian summers. I've lost several crops of peaches and apples over the years to a spell of warm march weather followed by sub zero temps. Drives me cuckoo, and that isn't a far trip.

There was another frost this morning. A little lighter. Or maybe it was just me leaving for work a little later. It was 39F when I left work at 0130. Cold enough for the "icy roads" thing to light up on the car. Kind of cool this evening.

It was a cool day today. I hiked yesterday and camped last night. Didn't bring my puffy, and I regretted it. Lots of sunshine today, but cool when you stop walking.

At 1530 it's sunny, 59F with 27% humidity. Forecast high/low of 61/35F. Good chance of frost, so I'll cover my hole in the ground. It's full of pepper sprouts, so would hate to lose them.

I had a heavier frost this morning. I didn't get up in time to see it on the ground, but it was thick on the back window of my car {in the shade}. It touched up my peas some. But they were too thick anyway.

At 1910 it's clear, 55F with 51% humidity. Forecast high/low of 68/42F with no chance of rain. 10 day high/low of 81/36F with one night of possible rain. The nights of 36F will produce frost, so I will have to keep my eye on my pepper sprouts. I covered them last night, and they looked fine this morning.
