Yesterday we had .4 inches of rain. So for the last 65 days, we have had .4 inches of rain.

Today has been windy and cool. It's clear, 54F with 74% humidity at 1900. It got up to 66F today, and a low of 40F is forecast for tonight.

Today and tomorrow are good above ground days. I put {about} 14 strains X 5 seeds each, 1 strain of 3 seeds, and 3 tray jumpers in soil today. Have 3 new strains to plant tomorrow. In one corner of one old quail pen, Spring is in the air. Life is good.

A cool night, you will be looking for that cover that is warm enough, with just enough ravel around the ends to feel broke in good. Kind of like this one.

Another chilly day here in NW Florida. It's sunny, 64F with 31% humidity at 1445. Forecast high of 66F today, and a low of 45F tonight.

I know my customers tonight. They are doing a Low Country Boil. I will be joining them in eating and for pre and post meal safety meetings. It's a good thing this doesn't happen too often. Back before I was on the wagon, I was pretty open about smoking at work. Now I'm trying to keep a low profile.

Damn. Is that early for you? I keep having to remind myself that it is December. Winter is going to happen.
Snow on the Willamette Valley floor (226 ft above sea level) is not a regular occurrence; we can go two or three years in a row without any. Snow before Christmas is even rarer. Being sandwiched between two mountain ranges requires a specific set of parameters for snow to even be discussed. The local weathermen get pretty ramped up and than {usually} nothing materializes. All this being said, 12 hours later and it's still in the forecast. I'll snap a pic if it happens.

Weathermen do get amped up for unusual events. I remember a few years back the guy from one of the Panama City TV stations forecast thunder snow when no one else was calling for it. The thunderstorm and the snow showed up together, so he thought he was all that. Get it wrong 364 days a year, and you can still be a hero on that 365th day.

Weathermen ARE heroes around these parts; they can and regularly do accurately forecast flash floods, tornadoes, killer hail, blizzards...

It's like plane spotting through a straw. NOT easy.

Predicting the weather and saving lives are the same job here in Colorado. They have my respect.

True. We have a very good farm weather forecast out of Dothan Al. It's much more detailed {and honest} than the tourists weather from Panama City. After 2 months of no rain, they will smile and tell you how lucky we are to have a sunny weekend.

We had rain last night and all afternoon today. About an inch last night, and 2 inches so far today. Light rain, 75F with 95% humidity at 1815. High was 77F. Forecast low of 68F with 80% chance or rain tonight.

I stayed at the camp last night. The rain sure sounded good on my shelter.

The weather changed sharply today. It went from calm and nice to cold and very windy, gusts over 60mph! Lows are forecast to drop below zero F in the next couple of days. First big test for the hot side of my HVAC system!
