Good idea, or not? Side lighting, Quantum Board

I posted this on another thread, but no one is over there, lol. Anyway, I'm trying to up my game. I run 800 watts of cobs and a RDWC. Mostly Bodhi gear. 7x3 space.

My idea is to install some side lighting. I’m thinking of rigging a portable, standing frame with a board like this:

I’m thinking maybe mounting it to a “stand”, like a music stand:

My idea is that I could easily move it and position it where the plants need it most and move it around. What do you think?

I think that if you're interested in using Quantum Boards, you should be looking at the QB132 instead. You'll get way more for your money.

No tech recommendations on which boards here, I would just note that your grow method maybe wouldn't be best with side lighting being a horizontal scrog type setup.
You may do better just adding more light overhead unless you want to mix it up and grow your plant more this style

I added a couple strips in the corners as an experiment, while it does have a slight effect on size of nugs lower down I feel its not much of a difference to make the effort in adding all the side lighting. I only used 24w q strips though in each corner so only an additional 100 watts on top of the 450 my cobs put out. Perhaps if you used something like the qb132 or a 288 board it would have a much greater impact.

you running about 38w/sf. I would go with a 250w addition to get to 50w/sf. I think a QB 288 hits that and I would mount it over the canopy and up your game that way.
