M$ has announced the death of XP, despite reassurances from various governments that M$ has promised to keep civil servants in work ..? .govts have been paying M$ bucket loads to keep this OS alive, but the Gates gang intend to dump it on the 8 April 14. regardless of how many golden handshakes Bill has gained in the last ten years ...lol
I for one will be keeping my old and junky Pc's running XP till hell freezes over, considering some of the utter crap that has issued forth from the M$ corporation, since the original release of WinXP, about 14 years ago ...? lol
Just cause something is old ...don'r make it BAD ...Bill..?

How many tablets and dumbphones run XP, though?
That's the reason it's time to say bye to it.
It is an OS based on a fading hardware model. Instead of tweaking it, and trying to maintain legacy support, it is cheaper to abandon it (along with the 3 or 4 people using it) and start from scratch.

PROGRESS!!! SCIENCE!!! MARIJUANA NOOTROPICS!!!

XP and Server 2003 and still pretty common in corporate settings.

XP was so stable.... But alas, it is missing a lot of features that the new MS OS's are...

Loved W7 64bit since the release candidate, can't beat 16gb of ram compared to the 3gb on XP! But that said I do miss playing with XP :)

Well I for one won't miss this seriously dated os. I am a big MS fan and I believe in progress not sitting in the dark age's and complaining that something doesn't work because I'm to lazy or stupid to upgrade lol.
R.I.P XP and good riddance.

Sorry but Microsoft is complete shit.

The best OS was and still will be XP

Windows 7 makes a good second
Windows 8 is a rehashed reskined W7
Windows Vista was a HUGE mistake
Anything before Windows 2000 was fine for its uses (Before computers became really common in households)

I remember building PCs from the ground up at age 14, it was a blast.
I was the only person on the block to have a computer, let alone almost 10.
I would build them from parts found in the garbage and make a huge profit reselling them.
