GOING BACK TO 24/0 ONCE THE FLOWERS HAVE STARTED?

So the answer for op is… don't do that.

Is the 18/6 schedule used just to save electricity compared with 24/0?
Is there any reason to be doing 18/6 over 24/0 from the perspective of the plant, assuming that electricity is not a limiting factor?
Even though this seems like a slight hijack, I'll answer still.

Depends who you ask.

Some growers say that 18/6 is more natural, and the plant needs some downtime.

Some say that 24/0 just helps increase growth, and that your girls don't need down time they need to be making money.

I'm using 24/0 right now a couple days after germinating and growth has seemed great. I think after 4 weeks I'll switch to 18/6 just to prepare for 12/12. I believe that 24/0 is fine, but as you need to harden off your plant when switching from indoor to outdoor, that you also need transitioning to 12/12.
