Wasn't real sure where this post should go, so I apoligize if it's misplaced.
Im doing a very rudiment DWC setup. Stand alone five gallon buckets. Im not using a resevoir due to me needign to move my plants around.
Anyway, I did a couple test plants using just Flora Nova Bloom and Liquid Kool Bloom. Im getting ready to plant a few different strands. Bubble Gum, THC Bomb, Power Plant and NYC Diesel.
Anyways my first question is about the nutes. Is there anything I should be concerened with using the entire Flora Nova line? Do I need to use all of these nutes.
I also just purchased a Hanna TDS tester. According to the meter my PPM is way high in the plants that Im just using the FN Bloom and Liquid Kool Bloom. The meter reads to 2k PPM and was pegged. This was using the FN reciculating Feed chart. Obvioulsy I need to cut back on the strength of ntrients that Im using. I dont have pics, but the very tips of my leaves are showing signs of nute burn. Other than that they are pretty enormous by my standards. I was growing in 2 gallon soil pots , so its been a pleasant surprise.
My question about the tester is if the PPM reading that Im getting is accurate, or do I need to calculate it in some kind of formula. Ive read that different brands of testers get their readings through different ratios, so do different brands give different readings. I dont know much abotu this, and basiccly gave myself a headache trying to figure this out. lol. Any help would be greatly appriciated. I want to make sure I have things dialed in and am using my readings and info properly befre I start growing these new strands.
