2 Purple Kush on the left, 2 Purps on the right femenized. Just switched to AN nutes from FF, gonna drop my ppm down from 900 to around 600 in a few days. Got some CFL 6500k I fire up when the room gets a little cooler. I have Co2 enrichment, but is not on constantly. 13 gallon res kept 5.6 - 6.0 with a temp average of 21 C. This is my first attempt with hydro and I've got minimal grow time with soil, just figured I'd go for it. any questions have at it, I'm looking to learn a lot on this grow and hopefully get some tasty buds in the process:leaf:

Good luck with that! I know this is completely off topic, there is a dude I know on RIU that has been waiting nearly 3 weeks for his GLH 290 to be delivered.. and the tracking number doesn't tell anything on where the parcel actually is.. (USPS I believe) does this sound familiar to you?
GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR GROW! SWEET!

Hey man I had a good experience ordering mine, I believe they come from California. Not sure where your friend is, but regardless it shouldn't be 3 weeks. Mike from GLH isn't very hard to get a hold of he should touch base with him and see what's up. Seems to be a great light so far although I don't have much to compare it to. Good luck!

Good luck, careful with the 290 it is powerful, i had started my veg with single 180 and was starting to try an acclimate it to the additional lites, first day 12 hours and second day after several hours they looked yellowish, turned off the 290 and went back to single 180 at top of tent, as high as possible... cal mag also keep an eye on your leaf colors the led does them in.

Hey thanks, so far so good with the light on this grow, got some nute burn happening. I am a little concerned as my tent is only 5 ft tall. The plants seem to be fine now, but what happens when my buds are only a matter of inches away?? I did a lot of research before I ordered my LED, and I wanted a good quatlity strong light, maybe my light is a little much for my 2x4x5 tent? How close is too close in your experience?

cool, welcome! so far this GLH is vegging these beautifully. Nodes are tight & plants are very green. Gonna keep the Co2 at 1400ppm for a day or two and see what happens. Res change tomorrow, recomendations on ppm appreciated, using Sensi A & B, Cal Mag, Voodoo, Orca, B-52, Humic Acid, Fulvic Acid.

I've heard many good accounts of interactions with GLH, but my own experience with Mike has been rocky. I'm very happy with how the light performs and I'm sure it is a great investment, but I had my share of problems along the way. Overall I think he just needs to hire some help and try to step back from doing everything himself. I know I would be overwhelmed with trying to run a company like that, especially alone like Mike does, and I don't hold my experience against him. I've heard so many more positive than negative experiences with him, that my own is just one of a few exceptions. I don't blame him for the issues I've had with getting the light in full and working condition, he is just slow to proceed with things which I found very frustrating. From the day he first sent the light out in late September, it took about two months before I was able to hang the light and begin using it.

I originally ordered a 290w from GLH, after more than a week without hearing back from Mike I called and he offered to upgrade me to a 500w unit (idk why so don't ask). It took another week before the light shipped out and it arrived damaged thanks to fedex. Mike said he'd send me a replacement with a return label for the damaged one, but it took about a month for me to get ahold of him again at which point he sent me just a return label and asked me to return the light I already had. He said he would repair it and send it back, rather than sending me a replacement first. I think this is understandable seeing as I payed by money order so it's hard for him to do that on trust. Two weeks later he sent the light back, having replaced the damaged parts and switching in the new power supplies which helps with the over-intensity issues people have had. When the light arrived, the power cord was missing, so I called Mike. He said he would send me one but still hasn't so I went to bestbuy last week and got one myself.

ughh, oh man! Sounds like one hell of a time, sorry to hear it. It sounds like you kept a level head about a bad experience though, well done. Maybe he is a little over his head in the service department of his operation. I hope atleast now you are the owner of a great LED and ready to put it to use. I have heard about the over-intesity issue some people are having and am not sure if mine needs to be adjusted or not. I received mine in mid June sometime, how can I tell? I don't know how much I would trust that Best Buy chord in your expensive light, might use it temporarily, but would also keep on Mike about getting the one you need. You'll have to keep in contact and let me know how you make out, how the light does. What kind of setup are you putting it into, what kind of grow? Thanks for sharing! good luck!

I am having a similar time right now with a light, but I do really like the 290's I already have, just hope they really produce! I definitely think he should think about getting a little help.

lol, I hate to kick him when he is down, BUT I'm waiting over two months for new power supplies for a 500w that came faulty... Mike is very reasonable, but he does tell me "its in the mail" when its clearly not...
I have purchased over seven lights from him, so Im obviously happy with the lights- when they work. I haven't given him any ultimatums but Im getting impatient.
