I feed my plants plenty of raw veggies and quinoa.

I do get concerned about heavy metals sometimes as sensitive as I am. Had an MRI a while back and my face felt magnetized. Couldn't even hardly talk. Very weird. Nothing my body can't filter out with a little help though.
i am not against organic growing, i have seen some very nice organic gardens
it is the exaggerated claims that some organic growers make about cancer and the superiority of the end product that i have questioned

Yeah, i'm on the same train of thought as you skunkdoc, it's just annoying because non organic growers don't say "organic is inferior" but organic growers seem to say non organic is the devil, when in fact, most organic junkies have no idea what is even in their soils because if they did, they would not make comments about heavy metals being in more quantities in non organic ferts. Saying things like that just makes me think anything that comes from an organic thread is just based on butterflies and unicorn fairy dust logic.

There's more heavy metals IN ORGANIC NON REFINED NUTRIENTS than REFINED nutrients. You're wrong.
I don't think so. Synthetic and chemical nutrients have 10 -50 times more heavy metals. Check with the dept of agriculture. The Oregon dept of agriculture lists all.registered nutrients (ingredients and amount of heavy metals) on their site. Nutrient companies have to register with each state and disclose everything to.the DOA to be able to legally sell their products. They are not require to disclose anything to the public. Did you know miracle grow, Scotts, and Peters nutrients and soil actually have toxic sludge in them. There alt of nutrient companies that claim to be organic that are not.at all. There is only one botled nutrient company in the whole industry that is 100% natural organic. That's dragon fly earth medicine. All others have a percentage of synthetics and chems even ones derived from organic material

I have, if you go on the gov. websites that give the complete listings (not the ones on the bottles) the organics have more heavy metals 9/10 times

its a wake up call. I didn't even touch on the fact about how hydro and chemical nutes. When resis are dumped. Pollute the ground water and ground soil.

I used to be a organic grower @hyroot - I wouldn't bs ya, I have no intentions of being negative about it either, just trying to throw the facts out there since I used to grow organically. I mean, I still grow 100% organic outdoors, but not indoors, too much work for me. There's a lot of misguided info out there and a lot of people are thinking organic is best but they really don't know why, they heard it was better, it cost more so it must be better kind of thing. I mean, if it's a preference, so be it, but preferences doesn't mean it's healthier or better, it just means you're willing to use an item more so than another. My brother is a organic only health nut but I blew his mind about organics not too long ago, he changed his mind a little bit :p But it's still his preference.
