I dont use a res. I'm hand watering and my plants are in promix. Never had thrips but Cookiekush seems to know what he is talking about.
They are horrid little monsters Dr Gruber...i've had them in 2 grows over the years, they really F things up a lot if left to manifest themselves.

For Thrips use neem oil diluted with clean water and spray it on the top and mostly bottoms of leaves and stem areas, they get into all the tiny cracks so spray well but dont drench your girl :-)
Hi CookiKush,

Thank you for your reply. Neemoil however is banned here and im unable to get my hands on any..

Right... Spinosad is your only other real option then or lady bugs / lacewings which are predators to Thrips. If none of those options are available then you will be fighting a losing battle (Sorry to be negative).

This is what i did for the entire grow.....

The Dynamic Duo

20-20-20 General Purpose

10-30-20 Blossom Booster

Epsom Salt

Veg- Use in every watering

1tsp 20-20-20

1/4 tsp epsom

Flower-Every watering

Week 1-2 or untill flowers first appear

1 tsp 20-20-20

1/4 ts epsom

Week 3-4

1/2 tsp 20-20-20

1/2 tsp 10-30-20

1/4 epsom

Week 5-7

1 tsp 10-30-20

1/4 epsom

Week 8 FLUSH

*These measurements are all per gallon

*Extend weeks 3-4 for longer flowering plants

*PH range is 5.6-6.25
*Do not replace epsom salt with a different calmag

It finally came to my attention that the Urea Nitrogen in the 20-20-20 is not good for Drain to waste.
I will be switching to another product soon and will post it once i do.

About the water... invest in an RO system if you can then adjust PPM and such accordingly for those asking about city water.. Where i am now you can't drink the water so RO is the only way to get a TDS of 002 and then add nutes etc accordingly.
I disagree, tap water gives you minerals that you would normally pay for buying cal/mag.
Stick to your tapwater

Well no, because it also contains heavy metals ands chlorine etc most of the time. RO water and Calmag... easy as that. I prefer control over a machine gun style attitude to watering :-)

Where do you live flint? Lol
It would have to be more than trace amounts to make any difference. And if you don’t flush you’ll just smoke all that residual anyway. But who am I it’s only my second grow

Of course, not all water supplies are equal so if you've got a good source for tap water, happy days dude :-) if not and anyway, I'd still use RO water... even big growers use RO systems :-)

I do like how my tap water has some calmag in it. Don't like how it has chlorine, sodium & lead in it.

I've been looking on rainfresh.ca for filters. They have RO system & inline filter systems that take gnarness out.
Leaning towards the TWIST double system thing, RO, or the System 3.

Can't wait to see what new nutes U use Doc G because I'm not sure if Iguana Juice is cutting it for me.

Promix Potting Soil-(Drain to Waste)

Grow Comments-

I changed my feed schedule around for this one. Instead of feeding at 300ppm, I followed some advice from the Peter's Company and fed at around 850 per feeding, which includes a 1/4 teaspoon of Epsom salts to every gallon.

They still have some leaf burn but they suffered less damage than other grows and seemed pretty consistent the entire grow. But, even with that success, I will soon be changing to a non- urea based nitrogen asap to stop that tip burn.

All in all, a fairly easy grow without any special requirements.

Smell-

Gun Powder- Sage

Associated smells of bud:

Coffee- Spice

TASTE-

(Personal Favorite)

Gun Powder(sulfur) with hints of citrus. Some might call it coffee or sage but i taste sulfur.

Associated flavors:

Sour

Flavor Intensity-(Sour Diesel or Bubba Kush would be a 9 or 10.)

9+

One of the best!

Harsh/smoothness: (1-10, 1 being extremely harsh and 10 being extremely smooth) --

8

Smooth but thick.

Flavor Comments-

In my top 3 flavors of all time, and, could very well be number one. I love the smell this leaves in a room after a smoke session….maybe even more then I like the taste.

So, so, good!

As close to a 10 as I've tasted.

BUZZ Profile—

For an Indica Dom this one doesn't leave you gob smacked and wilting on the couch, but, go overboard and you might end up forgetting what you were doing. Strong, pleasant buzz with a nice uplift that could be good at parties or other social situations. Not as motivational or creative as my favorite sativas but no slouch in that department either. The high is strong and lasts a long time.

Potency: (1-10, 1 being extremely weak and 10 being extremely potent)

9

Duration: (length of buzz, from first hit)

4- hours

Final Comment-

Probably has the best bag appeal of any strain I've grown as it is covered in crystals. Covered. When you grind it up there is always a nice pile of keif at the bottom of the pile. This could be my favorite indica dom …right up there with Chemdawg#4. Absolutely incredible!

Any drying & curing methods to share?
I do the standard routine.
At harvest I leave the leaves on and use drying nets until the buds are dry. Then into jars for 12 hours and back into the nets for another 12-24 hours. When the stems "snap" I put them back into jars and "burp" the jars as often as necessary. It also helps to gently take the buds out and rearrange them when you burp the jar.

*All times are approximate and i really go by how wet the buds feel to the touch.

Anybody do it different? Please share.
