GHS - Super Lemon Haze

I grew 5 fem GHS - Super lemon haze seeds all where female. There was 2 pheno's though. One plant was stunted as it did not get enough light so it was cut down. They are about 3 weeks from finishing. One pheno is very short with short branches like a indica. Its buds where very sativa like soft and fluffy and go almost from the bottom of the plant all the way to the top on the main stem. The other pheno grew fast and tall and has long branches pointing upward. I toped one of this pheno and got 2 large dense top colas and allot of smaller top collas on the braches. There is a stronger smell to the second pheno. I switched the lights to 12/12 with the plants at about 6 inches. The first pheno that was short and leafy i left go. The plants that where long and sativa like i toped. Two of the grew faster so i did a small screen above both to keep them shorter. They ended at about 18 to 22 inches tall.

All plants where grown under 400w switchable ballest in a 2x4x5 tent. I left the MH bulb in for most of flower and then switch to HPS. This seems to help reduce stretch. Temps where low 80's during the light cycle and 70's at night. Fox Farm nukes where used (Big Bloom, Grow Big, and Tiger Bloom) mixed at the lowest amount listed on the bottle, every day feeding. MOAB bloom agent was used to force/quicken flowering during the first week of 12/12 and during last few weeks of bloom. Bushdoctor SledgeHammer was used between light cycle changes, 1 week. The soil was normal gardening top soil that i added periolite. The containers are 3 gallon grow bags. The plants are watered every 2 or 3 days after the top 3 or more inches of soil are dry.

Pheno 1 (Sativa like buds, short like indica, stronger smell of lemon or citrus. Only a slight haze smell.)

Pheno 2 (3 plants, long and large spacing between nodes. Fat and firm buds, smells like haze slightly.)

Looks beautiful! Good job!!! Those bags look so easy and simple to use, never had any soil experience myself, always done hydro. Kinda want to try it out.

Enjoy the tasty smoke

I had the same thing. 2 plants/2phenos. The indica is drying and the sativa has another week. They smell a little different too. The avatar to the left was a top off the indica pheno. Got a little purp on it

Also had two phenos... Sativa pheno: stretches during flowering, smaller buds (but completely drenched in resin), even big fan leaves had trichs on them, the high hits fast and lasts long, for some reason also helps me with insomnia...the high is pretty balanced, with a very pronounced body stone. The smell is the downside, imo...only gets good after six weeks of curing, and still not as nice as the indica pheno.

Indica pheno: didnt stretch much during flowering, smelled awesome, like lemon, candy and haze...less resinous and smaller yield. Fairly potent, but sativa pheno is stronger...

Verdict: Both phenos have qualities that complement each other. Someone should do a breeding project to get an even mix of characteristics of these two phenos in a single plant. If I were to do it, I would make it more sour/lemony and make the high more sativa-like...

The first pheno above is actually turning amber. I am guessing it will finish early. I did smoke some lower buds in a bong and did not have much taste. I hope to harvest in the next 4 weeks. I will have to get diff jars for each type.

I have used plastic containers before but they are a pain to store. So now i use grow bags. I also have them for my garden plants. 1 gallon and .5 gallon. I even noticed a zucchini on one of the plants yesterday. It needs to get a little warmer before taking them outside. I put 12 tomato plants outside last week. The lights are sunblaze 4x2. I put grow and bloom bulbs in so i have full spectrum.

I also use a tent etc so i can take it down for most of the year when not growing. It folds up into a storage tote along with bags and filters etc etc etc.

I'm not really getting much "lemon" either. I pulled my "indica" when I started seeing a little amber, but I think I should have gone another week. And I'm probably pulling the sativa a week early as well because I started flushing too early. If I were to do it again, I would probably do close to 10 weeks on the indica and 11 on the sativa pheno

Right now i have no clue how long they have been in 12/12. i am guessing 2.5 months. I will start flushing this week for 2 weeks then cut. I am still debating using diff jars for each plant or just mixing them up like i normally do. One strain per jar.

All done.... I flushed for a week and a half. I am going to harvest today or tomorrow. The one plant is actually falling over because of the weight of the buds. I am not sure if its because of the MOAB (mother of all blooms) or what but the colas are getting horns and other collas. Its pretty crazy. The smell is amazing.

Lovely! Nice work man, I have the 2 phenos two. I was told one ends up smelling more lemony than the other, I can't remember which one was suposed to be the more lemony of the two though. Have you noticed this?

I noticed a very strong lemon pledge smell from the Indica one pictured above. The others had a skunk/musky haze smell to them. After they are dry i should have a better idea.
