GH Rapid Start Root Enhancer

I have a sample bottle given to me by the local hydro guy....

We think I may have let my plants get too dry causing some root damage....So he told me to zap em' with this stuff in conjunction with the max dose of my nutes.....He said something like it will kill off the dead stuff, and promote new and stronger roots...

The bottle says 1ml per gallon for normal use...2ml/gallon for cloning, and other stuff...Should I go with the 1ml or the 2ml dosage ?

Also, the max dosage of those nutes (20-20-20) is 1 tbsp per gallon....The most I have given my plants at this point is 1/2 tsp/gallon....Anyone else think this is a super high dosage, and huge increases ? Granted, we also think that I have cause my plant to be nutrient deficient as well - yellow/dying leaves, slow growth, purple stems, etc...

Nutes are Jack's Classic...This time though I will be mixing that with Jack's Blossom Boost 10-30-20.....

thanks, SC

if you have root rott... then I would totally use

Florazym or Hydrogen peroxide

Florazym from Floratonic is pretty much an enzyme that breaks down dead roots rather more organically.

H2O2 is a rather harsh way to burn away the dead roots and give oxygen to your plants... But it will kill any beneficial bacteria that's inside your soil.

Rapidstart is not really a fixer upper for "damaged roots", it's rather a root booster for healthy roots that need a boost of growth.

I like the product during the seedling stage but have never used it in a root problem situation just ass an additive.

Most of my customers seem to be using the higher dosage and getting good results. Now personally I used it and saw no difference in root growth, go figure.
