Getting ready but need assistance

Alright my main grow will be an outdoor one. First thing I need to do is obtain some seeds.

I figured I will try out some Mango strain or G13. I want to have loads of seeds but without paying much.
The way I see it is grow a few plants while its cold indoors and let them pollinate to produce the amount of seeds I am looking for.

There is an abandoned trailer parked near my house which I want to grow in one of the rooms. Only problem is I need some way of getting power to the CFL's.
I don't want to run extensions from my house into the trailer because its raining.

Can I run lights from a battery? How big of a battery would I need? How would I set it up? And how long would it last?

going from a battery is a bad idea, i tried it on my first grow. I spent over 300 dollars and tried batteries. Charged one while the other one was being used and i was lucky to get 7 hours, i was using deep cycle marine batteries. And you will need an ac/dc converter...it won't work sorry. You will have to run extension cords from somewhere...and stealing power is a sure way to get caught.

Thanks for your experience note. I will check it out and see if its hooked up to any power supply.
