Germinating San Padro

Hey guys this is my first post for this name, I was a 1 yr member for awhile till someone in my little town somehow came across my pix on here and exploited me...Anyways now I am getting in to something under my new name with something that is legal. I got these san padro seeds about 3 weeks ago and I am having the worst time getting them to germinate, I wish you could just use a paper towel method to get them started but I am pretty sure from my research that it is immpossible. The one method I do know is use a half and half mix of sand and soil , I have four in a long flower pot with that MG Cacti Mix but its fertilized it will probably just burn the seeds up....I am thinking about soaking all of the cacti mix in water for a few days to get the fertilizer out of it....To tell you the truth I am just about to go to the river and get some really nice fine sand and get some feild dirt...as river is right next to feild so botta bing botta boom I feel like that would work better then the MG bullshit...I am trying to make this inexspensive it seems all of my ventures end up with me spending over 200$ on shit that I don't even need...I am sure you have been there.....But before I post this I do know about cover the plants with some sort of plastic to keep humidity in and I am doing this also....Let me know whats up peeps...Thank you all very much...This site turned me in to a guru on my other shit so lets see if i can do the same on the cacti.

it's faster and easier just to get cuttings and they multiply pretty quickly. Cacti seedlings have a habit of damping off. I want to do some crosses myself, so i will eventually have to do the seed route too.

here is a link to some of the best peeps on the planet...cactus planet anyway http://sacredcactus.com/seedlings.htm

Hey thanks bro...I have been to that site a couple of time but have just now saw that they freaking had an e bay store....Thank you for opening my eyes a bit better. If the seeds dont work out I may just get the 6 inch starts I am getting ready to relocate from illinois to florida is the reason i am starting them I want them out in my yard.(its attempt) I can also get my hands on an 8 yr old peyote button for 80 sum odd dollors but they say its sacred when you cut it up don't know if i want to get in to that....peace out for now...i may get impatient and just buy one at there e bay store just for a sample at the least.
