Here are two of my plants which I believe to be males. They are the same age as my other two which look different (no 'pods' like these, the other two definately have pistils showing where these have pods).

Anyway, it's my first (proper) grow and I just want confirmation. I can be happy with 50/50 since I didn't really want 4 plants anyway. My last messed up grow only had 2 females so I haven't had to knife anything yet.

If you are reading this post, you are cool as fuck!

As it turns out, the two clones of the 4 (one of each plant) that I took that actually lived were from A and B plants, the plants you see above were C and D so I guess I can live with it :)

Thanks!

Oh yeah... I live in the city... any suggestions as to what I should do with them? How should I discard them to minimize risk?

I hear of people saving the leaves for use besides smoking?

cut all the leaves and make butter. chop up the stems into small pieces and you can mix them in with some other shit you have to throw away, and drop it in a dumpster on the way to work or whatever.

Is there a less smelly way than butter? I am concerned about the smell as I have close neighbors and I have heard that you can smell it a block away.

Here's my grow, 12x23w CFL's... 6 white 6 red.

i don't think it smells that bad if you have a fan over your range. goes away quickly too. certainly couldn't smell it down the block.

not trying to argue... just wondering. whats the point of making butter with plants that have no THC? just for green butter? I would rather have like basil butter or something

I have read in many places that THC is a part of the plant, it is basically plant sunblock. Both males and females have it in them, it's just only the females that produce large flowers that drip with it.

Also, pot has been bred over and over and over again for the FEMALES to have potent THC content, many of those genetics likely wouldn't show in males even if you did grow them out.

There's THC in there, believe it or not. I made butter last harvest with nothing but leaves - all the bud trim went to hash - and it was still fairly potent. Try it.

from what I've heard, males and females both make great butter.
