Gemu's T-5 Closet

Hey everybody! Just figured i'd share what i'm doing with a (mostly) T-5 setup! This is my 2nd grow, but my first grow where I got female plants! Pretty much what I have going on is as you see. Just a closet, no intake or out-take other than the door. The overall lack of temp control is why I decided to go with a T-5, and honestly i'm quite happy. At some point i'm sure I'll do HID and then I can use this T-5 for veg or who knows what (nobody can make me feel bad about my investment.)

My strains are a random mix of what i've been told are solid genetics, as well as 2 bag seeds (had 3 but 1 was male).

Pics: (Sorry for poor quality, i'm shopping around for something better but I have not yet quite found exactly what i'm looking for)

Just sharing what i'm doing! Feel free to ask questions or share your own T-5 operations

Good I hope mine get frosty too :).good luck withyours :)
Lol yeah. If you notice it looks like all my plants were almost cut in half, my T-5 fell on my plants a few weeks ago. Probably lost a bit of yield, but learned to be more careful and I still didnt lose a single plant. I'm still happy with how this grow is going, simply the first of many

Yeah I added an extra safety so if my hooks fail my light will only fall at most about 2-3 inches XD. Fortunately I was on my computer when i heard the crash, it was off the plants within about 10 seconds of it falling. I was just happy that it didn't sit there burning my plants for a few hours before i caught it. Also surprised none of my bulbs broke. That being said, since it happened i've been far too curious about how the plants are going to recover to care about the loss lol.

These are 2/3 of the bagseeds i'm growing, the 3rd was male. Got all 3 from the same 20 sack, gotta appreciate how different they are both growing XD (the one on the left is elevated about 2 inches, but still)

Edit: lol the little guy in the back is one of my males. Kept them as unwatered houseplants to see how they would respond

The small one on right is grown good for fluorescent lights.that left one stretched like a champ
Yeah they actually got the same exact light for a very long time. The short one is the only one of my plants which could fit up top, because the other one outgrew it. That being said since the short one is the only one up top it is getting 6x23w CFL's all to itself. The seeds were started the same day, but the other one was growing into the lights lol. I try to keep my plants as close to the light as I can without burning them

Do you put cfls in the middle section of the stretched one?if not go get some for the mid section buds will grow bigger lower on plant

Yeah honestly now that I think about it, it would only cost like $13 for each additional 46w of CFL's, and i'll bet the plants could take the heat. Maybe i'll just run to home depot tomorrow and pick up a few of those sockets and stick a few of the double things in them and clip them around the plants. Maybe that makes sense. I could probably add a total of 6 more 23W cfl's through the middle, and with about 6 more weeks of flower i'll bet it would make a pretty sweet difference. It would cost under $50 and pay off big i'm sure

Fortunately I already have several un-used ones around! It really is just a matter of buying sockets for them that I can clip around, which is why there really isn't a reason for me to not supplement with more CFL's in some way

Nice. yea id deff suround that tall one with cfls where the bud sites are
Yeah your ladies are looking super compact. Even when I was vegging I couldnt keep them that short lol. That being said I was vegging with CFL's for about a month before I got my T-5, that could have something to do with it.

I started with just 2 cfl over the 3 cups.then got the t5 ho.deff awesome veg light no doubt.just from that I think my buds will be better than last grow with all cfls.guess we will see

Keep them close thats the trick.when I grew with cfls they were all around the plant and 1 inch away most of
The time. My t5s I been keeping close they are not hot at all
